On January 7th, the exhibition of sports-themed fine art works collected by the National Art Museum of China opened in Beijing. The exhibition is carefully planned by the Central Radio and Television Corporation and the National Art Museum of China, which comprehensively presents the development achievements of China's sports industry through the exhibition method, and disseminates it widely through the authority of the General Station, so that the excellent collection of fine art works can provide more and better spiritual food for the people, and also let the Olympic spirit be more effectively popularized.
Wu Weishan, member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and director of the National Art Museum of China, presided over the unveiling event and delivered a speech, saying that the time span of the works exhibited in this exhibition spans up to 80 years, vividly and three-dimensionally interpreting the Olympic spirit with two chapters of "Dream and Struggle" and "Advocating and Competition", showing a credible, lovely and respectable image of contemporary China, telling the story of China's sports development to the world, and composing a chapter of strength and beauty.
The exhibition lasted for 10 days from january 7 to 16. The National Art Museum of China opened three exhibition halls No. 1, No. 8 and No. 9, with a total of more than 160 works on display. Wu Weishan's "Coubertin", Huang Yin's "Playing Polo", Liu Kaiqu's "Kicking the Shuttlecock", Zhu Cheng's "A Thousand Juns and One Arrow", Tian Jinduo's "Going to the World", Xu Qixiong's "Before the Decisive Battle", Li Mubai & Jin Xuechen's "Women's Volleyball Team Wins the Championship", Feng Jie's "Conquering Everest", Li Hongjun's "National Fitness Rhythm Moves China", and Xiao Wei's Olympic Champion Series Portrait Photography are all included in this exhibition.
The National Art Museum of China also held the "Portrait for olympic champions" activity at the same time, and the artist's portrait of the Olympic champion at the exhibition site will also be included in the exhibition.
