The end is blue
As an echo of the theme of the graduation exhibition of this year's China Academy of Art, "Present History", the Academy of Painting And Art positioned the exhibition as "when painting is in progress", and the Oil Painting Department undertakes both, inheriting the "final dynasty and blue".
After the COVID-19 pandemic that swept the world in 2020, the order and rhythm of human life have undergone tremendous changes, and artists have generally responded to and reflected on this event from different angles. Words that appear frequently, such as "home", "isolation", and "prevention and control", constantly hint at the changes that are taking place in today's world. The background of the global epidemic forces us to further think about the basic propositions of this and the other, history and reality, life and human nature, life and life. Thus, the battle for life and the war for art have unconsciously become so closely integrated into an inseparable whole, jointly constructing the core content of the world in which we live. As far as the graduation creation of this year's Oil Painting Department is concerned, the diversified creative style corresponds not only to the academic concepts and artistic propositions of the four studios, but also to the rethinking and redefinition of art and life by the students. Whether it is looking back fondly at tradition, tracing history with the warmth of the bright moon at that time, or defending oneself with a posture of excavation, exalting the value of freedom in dialogue with the heart, behind all the stylistic appearances represents the further maturity of the thinking of these young artists. Mr. Wu Guanzhong once sent a message to his alma mater, the China Academy of Fine Arts, that "the style is the author's back, and he can't see it." "Today, then, they are showing their backs honestly.
"Poetry" Cloud: "The end is blue, not a profit." "The hardship of artistic creation is cold and warm for every student. Due to the limitations of space and venue, these young artists who have finally cultivated the altar can only meet with a small number of works that are "not profitable". Regrets and regrets are always the norm in life, but we just need to know that they are always in the painting and will always be in the painting!
