In 1933, the Red 25th Army suffered heavy losses and sent a "special envoy" to Shanghai to report on its work. The crowd swung wildly, crossed the enemy's blockade line, and sent the "special envoy" safely to Shanghai.
A few decades later, one of the warriors who served as caravans produced a lieutenant general; and two warriors who were book boys became generals of the Republic. The "special envoy" of the Red 25th Army, named Cheng Fangwu, was a Xinhua from Hunan, who participated in the May Fourth Movement and served as the director of the Ordnance Department of the Whampoa Military Academy. In 1927, the Kuomintang reactionaries created the "April 12 Coup" and the "July 15 Coup", and the Great Revolution fell into a low ebb.
Cheng Fanwu went into exile in Europe, came into contact with revolutionary ideas, and joined the party in Paris. After returning to China in 1931, he accepted the order of the organization and came to work in the Eyu-Anhui Su District and served as the propaganda director of the Eyu-Anhui Su District. In 1933, the Kuomintang reactionaries gathered heavy troops and launched a large-scale "encirclement and suppression" against the Eyu-Anhui Soviet Region, and the Red 25th Army was in a difficult situation.
In order to obtain the strategic arrangements of his superiors and report on the situation of the Red 25th Army, Cheng Fangwu secretly rushed to Shanghai as a "special envoy". From the Eyu-Anhui Soviet District to Shanghai, across the thousands of rivers and mountains, there are also layered checkpoints set up by the Kuomintang reactionaries in the middle, and the road can be described as nine deaths.
In order to protect Cheng's safety and pass the information to Shanghai, a squad of the Red Army accepted orders to protect Cheng's safety. This class is the Red 25th Army pistol class, with Chen Xianrui as the squad leader, and among the soldiers are Liu Zhen, Han Xianchu and other famous generals who later fought in hundreds of battles.
After Receiving the order, Chen Xianrui held a meeting in the pistol squad to discuss how to escort the chief. The comrades spoke enthusiastically, and finally agreed on a suitable method, that is, to disguise themselves.
The pistol squad put on a robe, a top hat, and new leather shoes for chief Cheng Fangwu, and took off the appearance of a mr. teacher. The crowd found a palanquin and let Cheng Fangwu sit on the palanquin, with Chen Xianrui and several warriors serving as palanquins. Liu Zhen and Han Xianchu, one by one, gave Cheng Fangwu a bookboy, and the pistol class set off for Shanghai.
Chen Xianrui explained to Chief Cheng Fangwu in advance: "When you encounter a white dog on the road, be fierce and disguise yourself as an inferior gentleman. Don't be polite to the white dogs, the white dogs are afraid of being hard, as long as we are fierce, they will think that we have a backstage. ”
The pistol squad tried to take the small road as much as possible, and Cheng Fangwu and the soldiers walked together, and when they reached the necessary road, they got on the palanquin. On the only way to Shanghai, the enemy set up strict guards to check pedestrians. The crowd carried the palanquin to the white dog post, and a Kuomintang officer stepped forward and shouted, "Stop, where are you?" ”
Cheng Fangwu did not get out of the car, but only held out a hand and swung towards Chen Xianrui. Chen Xianrui immediately stepped forward and said to the officer, "We are our old masters on the car, and we are ready to go into the city to meet our friends. The Kuomintang officer looked carefully, probably wanting to catch some oil and water, or refusing to let it go.
Chen Xianrui immediately returned to the car and whispered a few words to Cheng Fangwu, who pretended to be angry and scolded: "Lao Tzu wants to enter the city, meet with the commander, and let you dog legs stop you." When the Kuomintang officer heard the scolding, he did not dare to ask for money from the passing, so he hurriedly waved his hand: "Old man atonement, old man atonement, villain has eyes that do not recognize Taishan, let go!" Release! ”
Chen Xianrui and the soldiers immediately raised their sedans, and Liu Zhen and Han Xianchu protected on both sides and safely passed the enemy's blockade line. In the same way, the pistol squad broke through several enemy blockade lines and escorted the chief of Cheng Fangwu to Shanghai safely. After Cheng Fangwu's report, the superior issued instructions to the Red 25th Army, which eased the tension in the Soviet area.
After the founding of New China, Chen Xianrui was awarded the rank of lieutenant general, and Liu Zhen and Han Xianchu were awarded the rank of general, both of which became the brilliant stars of our army. Cheng Fangwu began to take charge of the work of China's colleges and universities, made great contributions to the work of higher education in our country, and wrote and translated many revolutionary works.
