At that time, the base area of the Eyu-Anhui Soviet District had been mostly lost under the wrong leadership of Zhang Guotao, and Cheng Fangwu was suffering from malaria and even had difficulty walking, but Cheng Fangwu disregarded his personal safety and was ordered to rush to Shanghai.
Travel in crisis situations
The Eyuwan base area was the second largest base area after the Central Soviet Region, and Zhang Guotao killed thousands of founders and backbones of the Red Army in the name of "purging rebellion." Regarding Zhang Guotao's actions, Shen Zemin, secretary of the provincial party committee, and other decisions must be reported to the party Central Committee.
But who to choose is a problem? It is most appropriate to choose or to be an imitation. For this action, Shen Zemin dipped in rice soup and wrote a line in Russian on Cheng Fangwu's clothes: Send Cheng Fangwu to the Central Committee to report on his work.
At that time, Cheng Fangwu was extremely weak and trembling when he walked, and Xu Haidong, the commander of the Red Army Division, gave him a mule to ride. First of all, the enemy's blockade line had to be broken, and the provincial party committee dispatched an independent regiment of the Red Army composed of more than 400 people. Thanks to the delicacy of this sentry, he found it in time, and hurriedly ran back to the temple to shout people, and the warriors in the temple heard the warning, took up their guns and rushed out of the temple gate, and the two warriors hurriedly helped the weak Cheng Fangwu to the mule, and under the protection of everyone, rushed up the higher mountain. At this time, the enemy began to shoot, the gunfire was loud, and the imitation was more conspicuous on the back of the mule, but it became the enemy's target, only to listen to the dense bullets passing by his side.
At this time, Cheng Fangwu calmed down and shouted, "Lie down and shoot!" At this time, the warriors immediately calmed down and fell down to fight back. Bullets shot out like a rainstorm, finally repelling the enemy. Fortunately, Cheng Fangwu was not injured. After this battle, it was dark. Escorted by everyone, Cheng Fangwu walked forward again, preparing to go to the destination of the night, the Garden Station.
In his spare time waiting for the bus, Cheng Fangwu was arranged to hide in a nearby farmer's house. This peasant family was extremely safe, and was the brother of a warrior surnamed Wang who had come to escort him. At this time, the Red Army soldiers in charge of escorting Chengfangwu had completed their mission, and they bid farewell and embarked on the road back.
However, people never expected that the warrior surnamed Wang had a bad heart on the way back, and even secretly reported the news of Cheng Fangwu's arrival at the Garden Station to the enemy. Cheng Fangwu was fortunate to be sent to the garden station in time by this farmer surnamed Wang, and got on the train. By the time the enemy reached the station, Cheng Fangwu's train had already started in the direction of Wuhan.
Second, when looking for relations with the party, I found Lu Xun
Cheng Fanwu has extraordinary talent, and is even more a staunch communist. In 1925, he became the chief professor of physical mechanics at the School of Science of Guangdong University, a political instructor at the Whampoa Military Academy, and the acting director of the Weapons Research Department of the Military Academy. In 1928, he went to Europe and joined the Communist Party of China. In 1931, he returned to China to serve as the propaganda director of the Eyuwan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China.
Along the way, there were many risks, so I came to Shanghai. It was a harsh winter, and Cheng Fangwu was staying in a small hotel, he was running around for days, living in a cold and wet hut, and his weak body was even struggling to go up and down the stairs. In Shanghai, where the white terror is, the situation is very grim, and the secret mechanism of the original joint can no longer be used, even if you encounter acquaintances on the road, you do not dare to greet them easily.
Cheng Fangwu had to look for useful information in the newspaper. Suddenly he saw a newspaper and scolded Lu Xun as a "quasi-Communist." He suddenly had a thought in his mind, if he went to ask Lu Xun, he should be able to find the Party Central Committee. But he was worried that Lu Xun would not help?
Because a few years ago, when he and Guo Moruo and Yu Dafu founded the "Creation Society", there was an unpleasantness with Lu Xun. Zuo thought about it, and finally Cheng Fangwu decided to see Lu Xun. So Seijogo went to Uchiyama's bookstore and met Mr. Uchiyama. When Mr. Uchiyama suddenly saw Cheng Fangwu, he was very surprised and said, "Oh, you're still alive."
It turned out that after Cheng Fangwu entered the Eyu-Anhui base area, the Kuomintang newspapers spread rumors several times that he was dead. Cheng Fangwu said, "Because I was sick, I came to Shanghai to see a doctor." Then he asked Mr. Lu Xun how he was, and Mr. Uchiyama replied that Lu Xun was still in Shanghai. Cheng Fangwu said, "I want to meet Mr. Lu Xun." Uchiyama replied happily, "Yes, you can come and hear the news tomorrow."
The next day, Cheng Fangwu came to a café as agreed. As soon as he entered, he saw that Lu Xun was already waiting there, and Cheng Fangwu's heart was hot, he was wearing an old cotton robe, and he looked like a rural primary school teacher, but Lu Xun looked at him with a black and thin face that had been weathered by wind and frost. He asked with great meaning, "Is it from the old family?" Cheng Fangwu, who understood the spirit of the spirit, said, "Ah, from my hometown in Hubei."
After the two greeted each other, Cheng Fangwu whispered to Lu Xun that he had made his intentions clear: "I have come to ask for your help, and I want to find a relationship with the party." Do you have a way? After Listening, Lu Xun said, "Yes, you just happened to be here, and in a few days I will have no way."
It turned out that Qu Qiubai was in Shanghai, and Qu Qiubai was the shanghai underground party and the only person with contact with Lu Xun. Because Qu Qiubai's situation was very dangerous, the central government ordered him to go to the Soviet area, so once Qu Qiubai left, and then looked for underground parties, Lu Xun could not help.
Lu Xun told Qu Qiubai the news of Cheng Fangwu, and two days later, Cheng Fangwu saw the Shanghai party organization, and after the Shanghai party organization and the Central Committee of the Soviet District reported it, he got a call back. Call back and order Cheng Fangwu to go to Ruijin. The Shanghai Party organization sent Cheng Fangwu to leave Shanghai secretly.
Three to Ruijin sued Zhang Guotao for trouble
Arriving in Ruijin, Cheng Fangwu was in time for the Fifth Plenary Session of the Sixth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and on the afternoon of January 11, 1934, Cheng Fangwu was led into the venue to meet with Zhou Enlai first. Zhou Enlai came over and shook his hand. He then introduced himself to the people present: "The representative of Eyuwan has come to imitate me." At that time, Cheng Fangwu, who was running all the way, excitedly shook Zhou Enlai's hand, and was moved to tears.
On 15 January, Cheng Fangwu reported to the general assembly that Zhang Guotao had led the main force and radio station to flee west without authorization, abandoned the Eyu-Anhui base area, and asked the central authorities to quickly send important military cadres to the Eyu-Anhui base area, which was in difficulty.
Cheng Fangwu thought that his report would be supported by everyone's sympathy. Unexpectedly, less than five minutes after he spoke, someone stood up, pointed at him and shouted, "You are a right opportunist, you are a right opportunist!" The atmosphere in the venue suddenly became tense.
At that time, there were four people sitting on the rostrum, Bogu, Zhang Wentian, Zhou Enlai, and Liu Shaoqi, but Bogu did not stop it, Liu Shaoqi looked very sad, and Zhang Wentian waved his hand and said: "The issue of Eyuwan will be discussed separately." To this end, after the Sixth Plenary Session of the CPC Central Committee, the CPC Central Committee held a special meeting to listen to Cheng's report.
At this meeting, Cheng Fangwu listed a large number of facts and put forward many criminal incidents of Zhang Guotao's deeds, and the comrades present expressed great indignation. In addition to reporting to the above, Cheng Fangwu also managed to expose Li De, an international military adviser who was in Ruijin. In the end, Li De listened and was deeply dissatisfied with Zhang Guotao's behavior.
On February 12, 1934, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China issued a letter of instruction to the Provincial Party Committee of Eyuwan. At the beginning of the letter, it is written that the Central Committee has given instructions after listening to Cheng Fangwu's report. He criticized Zhang Guotao and praised the comrades who persisted in the stubborn struggle in Eyuwan.
Cheng Fangwu experienced more than two months, traveled thousands of miles, and experienced difficulties and obstacles, and it was of great significance to sue Zhang Guotao to the Party Central Committee. The spirit of the military and people in the Eyu-Anhui Soviet Region was re-energized, and they received tremendous support on the military line, so that the Eyu-Anhui base area could be consolidated and developed.
