"Hongmen Feast" is from the Han Dynasty historian and literary scholar Sima Qian's "History of Xiang Yu Benji", the story of the dispute between Xiang Yu and Liu Bang in the last years of the Qin Dynasty was widely circulated, and "Hongmen Banquet" is a classic story that occurred in the xiang Liu controversy. They agreed that whoever entered the Qin capital Xianyang would worship him as king, and as a result, Liu Bang entered Xianyang before Xiang Yu, and at that time Xiang Yu was weak and Liu Yu was weak, and a banquet was held at the Hongmen Gate on the outskirts of Xianyang to invite Liu Bang. At the banquet, Liu Bang showed weakness everywhere, while Xiang Yu pressed forward step by step, and Xiang Yu's sub-father wanted to put Liu Bang to death everywhere, and at the banquet, he even let Xiang Zhuang dance the sword, wanting to stab Liu Bang to death in the middle. Therefore, he deduced the famous allusion - Xiangzhuang Dancing Sword, which is intended to be Pei Gong. Fortunately, with Zhang Liang's planning, Fan Duo's loyal protector and Xiang Bo's everywhere protection, Liu Bang was able to leave without any danger. It was also because of this trip to the Hongmen Banquet that Xiang Yu relaxed his vigilance against Liu Bang, and Liu Bang was able to grow stronger and establish the Great Han Dynasty. Therefore, the Hongmen Banquet was a turning point for Liu Bang to go from weak to strong, and it was also the starting point for Liu Bang to establish the Han Dynasty.

In this sense, Hongmen feast is a favorite word, when you need the help of others or borrow something from others, it is estimated that you will directly refuse to open your mouth directly, so you ask others to respond to this matter at the dinner table. Therefore, the banquet with ulterior motives is called the "Hongmen Banquet". By extension, kindness is sometimes exploited and used as a tool for "feasting on the gate" to deceive good people.
