Biography
Zhang Liangui was born in Lixin County, Anhui Province, and grew up in Wuhai City, Inner Mongolia. Since childhood, he has loved to draw, but due to his family's poverty, he has no conditions to study painting professionally. After joining the work, in order to realize his childhood painting dream, he enrolled in the Correspondence University of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting in 1984, and engaged in root art production and painting art creation after graduation. After years of efforts, there are more than 100 root art works and more than 200 paintings. In 2021, he was reviewed by the China Culture and Art Review Committee and was rated as a senior arts and crafts teacher. He is now a member of the China Elderly Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, a member of the Inner Mongolia Elderly Calligraphy and Painting Art Committee, a member of the Inner Mongolia Artists Association, a vice chairman of the Wuhai Elderly Calligraphy and Painting Association, the chairman of the Wuhai Wuda District Artists Association, and the director of the Natural Art Museum. At present, there are more than 20 students, studying root art, painting research and creation.
