As a strategic point in the northeast, Chiang Kai-shek naturally knew that he must find someone who could match Lin Shuai to fight, so at first Chiang Kai-shek chose the general Guan Linzheng, but for various reasons, Guan Linzheng had not yet taken the position of commander of the northeast security, and was reassigned to Yunnan.
Many years later, Hu Lian, a famous Kuomintang general, asked Guan Linzheng what he would have chosen if he had gone to the northeast. Guan Linzheng said that he would choose a fierce general who was good at war, and then give him the elite strength of three armies, and his task was only one, that is, to capture Lin alive. There is no need to care about the knowledge of one city and one pool, as long as you can strengthen yourself, it is enough to destroy the enemy's living force.
Guan Linzheng's method is rather like our army's method of fighting in peacetime, quite a bit of the idea of capturing the thief before capturing the king and guerrilla warfare, but unfortunately we cannot witness whether Guan Linzheng's tactics can reverse the defeat of the Kuomintang in the northeast battlefield, but we still have to admit that Guan Linzheng is indeed very clever.
In fact, Guan Linzheng has been famous in the national army for a long time, and he has made countless contributions as early as the anti-War period. He took the lead in participating in the Great Wall Resistance War and annihilated more than 2,000 Japanese troops, because when he went to the battlefield, he himself was seriously wounded, and his body was like a bloody man, so he was also praised by the media as "Guan Gong".
After the beginning of the all-out War of Resistance, Guan Linzheng and his soldiers swore to heaven that they would drive the Japanese devils out of China. Then he participated in many very important battles such as the Battle of Taierzhuang, the Battle of Wuhan, the Battle of Changsha, and so many other very important battles, which was also the peak of his military career, so that in his later years, he would say that that time was the most painful time of his life.
However, Guan Linzheng's personality was too upright, which was not an advantage in the Officialdom of the Kuomintang, so his relationship with his superiors has always been very stiff. Originally, in the early days of the Liberation War, he was appointed as the commander of the northeast security, responsible for overseeing the overall situation of the northeast, and Guan Linzheng himself thought that he had the opportunity to show his grand plan, but Chiang Kai-shek was afraid that he could not control other generals of the Nationalist army, so he finally replaced the commander with Du Yuming, who was more popular. And how could Du Yuming be Lin Shuai's opponent, and the northeast land finally fell into the hands of our army.
However, Chiang Kai-shek watched the failure of the generals he sent to the northeast one after another, and he was also anxious and prepared to reactivate Guan Linzheng, but because of the obstruction of Chen Cheng and others, the matter was finally resolved. At this juncture, factional struggle is still engaged, and it is not surprising that the Kuomintang will suffer a crushing defeat in the War of Liberation.
