Born in 1900 in Wuyi, Zhejiang Province, Tang Enbo was a famous general in the Nationalist army and one of Chiang Kai-shek's confidants. Regarding Chiang Kai-shek's reuse of Tang Enbo, Li Zongren once solemnly admonished Chiang Kai-shek that Tang Enbo was not a heavy person. What is the reason for this? Could it be that Tang Enbo would not have led the army to fight without real talent and practical learning?

Tang Enbo was one of the few famous anti-Japanese generals who were feared by the Japanese. Since graduating from the Japanese Army Non-Commissioned Officer School in 1926, Tombaugh used what he had learned in Japan to play a huge role in the War of Resistance Against Japan. We can see him in large battles such as the Battle of Taierzhuang, the Battle of Xuzhou, and the Battle of Suizao.
Among them, the Battle of Taierzhuang was the biggest victory won by the Nationalist army in the frontal battlefield since the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, in which Tang Enbo, when speculating that Japan might adopt a two-sided encirclement war, quickly turned the situation of being surrounded by troops into a counter-encirclement, encircling the enemy near Taierzhuang and annihilating it in one fell swoop. Because of its clever way of fighting, it has won the reputation of "Little Zhuge Ge".
In 1938, in order to resist the Japanese attack on the Central Plains, Chiang Kai-shek ordered the explosion of the Yellow River embankment at the mouth of the Garden, and in 1942, the Henan region suffered another drought, and after the drought, it encountered a locust plague. Natural and man-made disasters add up to the fact that the people of Henan are hungry and have a hard time surviving. It so happened that the 31st Army led by Tang Enbo was stationed in Henan at this time, and he not only asked the people of Henan to dig trenches and cook for the troops for free, but also to loot military expenses from the hungry people.
During his stay in Henan, Tang Enbo was jokingly called "water drought locust soup" by Henan people, and the Yellow River water breaches, the great drought, the locust plague and Tang Enbo are all disasters that can be photographed. However, during the Liberation War, Tombaugh's performance was not satisfactory. In the Battle of Menglianggu, the East China Field Army on the side of our army annihilated the 74th Division of the "head of the five main forces" of the Nationalist army in one fell swoop, and turned the tide of the war in East China in one fell swoop.
During the battle, Due to the delay in Tang Enbo's rescue of the fighter, Zhang Lingfu was killed, and Chiang Kai-shek beat him to the head and bleed in one breath. Tang Enbo's combat mistakes and inconsiderate people's feelings have made some people have a great prejudice against him, but in the end, what made him lose his reputation was the fact that he sold his teacher and sought glory. Speaking of Tang Enbo, we have to mention - his mentor - Chen Yi.
In 1922, during the outbreak of the Zhifeng War, Chen Yi was the commander of the Zhejiang First Division, Tang Enbo handed Chen Yi a self-recommendation letter and then fell to his knees, in which Tang Enbo said that he was bent on defending his family and the country, and wanted to go to Japan to learn military technology, but he was shy and begged for funding. Chen Yi was touched by his sincerity and decided to sponsor Tang Enbo to study in Japan. In order to thank Chen Yi for his help to him, Tang Enbo, who returned from school, changed his name from Tang Keqin to Tang Enbo.
He also worshiped Chen Yi as his mentor, and also recognized him as a dry father, and also married Chen Yi's righteous queen Jinbai as his wife. After that, Tang Enbo's career was rising steadily, and Chen Yi made a lot of efforts for him behind his back. In 1949, the Nationalist army was repeatedly defeated in the Liberation War and was about to collapse. At this time, Chen Yi had the idea of surrendering to our army, so he gave Tang Enbo a letter of rebellion.
Tang Enbo replied with a full mouth of promise, and immediately changed his face after replying to the letter, and handed Chen Yi's letter to Chiang Kai-shek, which eventually led to the arrest and shooting of his mentor. In the end, Tang Enbo's practice of selling his teachers and seeking glory did not give him a knighthood, but instead fell into the notoriety of selling friends and seeking glory. His wife also cut him off, leaving her fourth daughter, Tang Guoli, in Taiwan, and then leading her other children to the United States to survive by working.
Soon after, Tang Enbo went to Japan for treatment due to stomach problems, due to surgical errors, died on the operating table in Japan, after Tang Enbo's death, his wife and daughter's life was even more bleak, because of his involvement, Wang Jinbai and his daughter living in the United States not only lost their living expenses, but also ran into walls everywhere because of different voices, which was very miserable.
