Mercedes-Benz said that this is its "best energy-efficient model ever", with energy consumption of less than 10 kWh per 100 kilometers and a single charge range of more than 1,000 kilometers, equivalent to the journey from Beijing to Nanjing. The release of this concept car also shows that Mercedes-Benz's electric transformation continues to accelerate.

The cruising range is one of the core competitive indicators of new energy vehicles. The VISION EQXX Concept adopts a new technical route to improve battery life by reducing energy consumption and improving energy utilization efficiency.

According to reports, this model with ultra-low rolling resistance and aerodynamically optimized tires, the wind resistance coefficient is as low as 0.17; and equipped with a new self-developed electric drive system, energy efficiency of up to 95%.

In addition, Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrain GmbH has developed a new battery pack specifically for the VISION EQXX concept car, achieving an energy density close to 400 Wh/L. The car is equipped with nearly 100 kWh of batteries, which is only half the size of the previously released EQS model, and the weight is reduced by 30%.

In terms of intelligence, the new car also reflects a forward-looking design concept. According to the official introduction, the VISION EQXX concept car is developed with software drive, the whole vehicle applies a large number of lightweight technology and sustainable materials, and adopts human brain bionic technology, and is committed to creating a sustainable and software-driven car.

For the user interface and experience, this model reduces energy consumption by several orders of magnitude through digital technologies such as neuromorphic computing and information processing, and increases the speed of voice wake-up to 5 to 10 times that of traditional voice control functions.

From the technical route and design concept, VISION EQXX has been at the forefront of the current pure electric market, but from the attitude of Mercedes-Benz, the mass production of this concept car has not been put on the agenda.

In addition to the traditional luxury brands to strengthen the new energy offensive, in the past month, independent brands have also intensively released new energy vehicles, and further improved in intelligent technology, and the new energy vehicle market will usher in a more fierce scuffle.

On December 26, the first batch of 200 Beta Experience Editions of Zhiji Automobile's first performance flagship True Intelligent Sedan Zhiji L7 was officially delivered at SAIC Lingang Intelligent Factory, and the "urban parade" of 9 cities across the country was launched synchronously. The test drive will arrive at the end of February, and the test drive will be fully opened in early March.
