First place: BYD New Energy
2021 sales: 593745 units
Unsurprisingly, BYD New Energy is still the most popular car company in 2021, with a cumulative sales volume of 593745 new energy vehicles in the whole year, and sales can be described as leading the way, up 231.6% year-on-year. Among them, the sales volume of new energy vehicles in December was 92,823 units, an increase of 236.4% year-on-year.
In 2021, BYD's new energy EV models sold a total of 320,810 units throughout the year, and DM models sold 272935 vehicles throughout the year. Among them, BYD Han sold 117665 vehicles in the whole year, Qin PLUS DM-i sold 194,220 vehicles in the whole year, and BYD Yuan sold 41,402 vehicles.
Second place: GAC Aean
2021 sales: 123,660 units
In 2021, GAC BJEV operated independently under the gac Aian brand, and its annual sales reached 123,660 units, only lower than BYD New Energy, ranking second among independent new energy vehicle companies, an increase of 119.0% year-on-year. Among them, GAC BJEV's sales reached 16,675 units in December, an increase of 119.0% year-on-year.
Backed by the big tree of GAC Group, GAC Aean's starting point is undoubtedly higher than that of the new forces, and it is not a problem that the sales volume exceeds that of the new forces.
Third place: Xiaopeng Motors
2021 sales: 98,155 units
As the second oldest of the new car-making forces "Wei Xiaoli", Xiaopeng Automobile's sales this year surpassed Thato's, surpassing Weilai Automobile with a sales volume of 98,155 vehicles, becoming the leader in the new car-making forces, an increase of 263.0% year-on-year. Among them, sales in December were 16,000 units, an increase of 181.0% year-on-year.
From the subdivision of models, the Xiaopeng P7 delivered a total of 60,569 vehicles throughout the year, accounting for 62% of the annual delivery, becoming the sales of Xiaopeng Automobile; the newly listed Xiaopeng P5 delivered 5,030 vehicles in December; and the Xiaopeng G3 delivered 29,721 vehicles in the whole year, an increase of 148% year-on-year.
Fourth place: NIO
2021 sales: 91,429 units
As the leader of "Wei Xiaoli" last year, due to the impact of production capacity and other factors, the market sales growth rate was lower than that of Xiaopeng Automobile, lagging behind Xiaopeng Automobile with sales of 91429 units, an increase of 109.1% year-on-year. Among them, sales in December were 10,489 units, an increase of 49.7% year-on-year.
NIO currently has three models, such as ES6, EC6 and ES8, and the transaction price of new cars is relatively high (the latest average transaction price in November is more than 440,000 yuan), and it can get sales of more than 90,000 vehicles.
Fifth place: Ideal car
2021 sales: 90,491 units
In 2021, the sales of ideal cars only slightly lagged behind Weilai Automobile, ranking third in the "new car-making forces" with sales of 90,491 units, an increase of 177.4% year-on-year. In December, ideal car sales reached 14,087 units, an increase of 130.0% year-on-year.
Ideal Auto currently only provides one model of Ideal ONE, and it is rare that sales can be close to Weilai Automobile, and it has become the best selling single model among the new car-making forces.
Sixth place: Volkswagen ID family
2021 sales: 70,625 units
With Volkswagen's brand base, the Volkswagen ID family began to launch in March 2021, with cumulative sales of 70,625 vehicles and an average monthly sales of more than 10,000 vehicles, which is a good performance. In December, the Volkswagen ID family sold 13,787 units.
Seventh place: Nezha Car
2021 sales: 69,674 units
Nezha Automobile, which is less well-known in the "new car-making forces", won 69,674 sales in 2021, up 362.0% year-on-year. In December, Nezha automobile sales exceeded 10,000 units, reaching 10,127 units, an increase of 236.0% year-on-year.
8th place: WM Motors
2021 sales: 44,157 units
WM Motors is one of the earliest car companies to launch new energy vehicles, achieving sales of 44,157 vehicles in 2021, an increase of 96.3% year-on-year, and the increase rate is lower than that of brands such as "Wei Xiaoli". In December, WM Sold 5,062 Vehicles.
Ninth place: Zero-run cars
2021 sales: 43,121 units
In 2021, zero-run cars achieved 43,121 new car deliveries, slightly lower than WM Motor's sales. In December, zero-run car sales reached 7,807 units, up 368.0% year-on-year.
10th place: Lantu Automobile
2021 sales: 6,791 units
Lantu Automobile started new car deliveries in August, and the cumulative number of new car deliveries by the end of the year was 6791, of which 3330 new cars were delivered in December. At present, Landu Automobile only provides one model of Lando FREE for selection, and the new car is positioned as a medium and large SUV, with a guidance price of 313,600-36.36 million.

Extreme Kr Automobile is Geely's brand of high-end new energy vehicles, with a cumulative sales volume of 5808 new vehicles delivered in two months. Among them, sales in December were 3,796 units. Extreme Kr Auto currently only offers ZEEKR 001, and the new car is positioned as a medium and large sedan with a guide price of 29.90-36.80 million.
