Ninghua wood movable type printing is an important part of movable type printing, with a long history of more than 700 years.
In 2011, Ninghua wood movable type printing was listed as a representative project of intangible cultural heritage in Fujian Province, and in 2015, Ninghua County was listed in the first batch of "Fujian Printing Culture Protection Base of China Printing Museum" by the former State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, which was the first batch of printing culture protection bases in China.
