Experts and scholars from Belgium, Russia, South Korea and Peking University, Chinese University, Dunhuang Research Institute and other universities and scientific research institutions in China totaled more than 70 universities and scientific research units, and more than 200 people participated in the online discussion.
The conference focused on important topics such as literary and cultural interconnection and the Silk Road Aesthetic Community, Silk Road Material Aesthetic Culture and "Common World", Silk Road Image Interconnection and Aesthetic Cosmopolitanism, Silk Road Living Aesthetic Culture and Emotional Community, Silk Road Creative Aesthetic Culture and Planetary Poetics, Women and the "Belt and Road" Aesthetic Community, Silk Road Ecological Aesthetics and Earth Life Community, Yellow River Civilization and Silk Road Civilization Inter-sexual Relations, Silk Road Archaeological Narrative and Interdisciplinary Discourse Community, and Silk Road Civilization Mutual Learning and Cultural Contact.
The conference was divided into 7 forums, and domestic and foreign experts and scholars discussed relevant topics. Professor Peng Jinglian of the University of Leuven in Belgium made a keynote speech entitled "Curating Collapsed Things, Saving the Past and Revitalizing History" with the latest developments in the creative aesthetic culture of the Silk Road as a reference, believing that the "Silk Road" is a field of aesthetic culture memory, a huge multi-sensory museum and a treasure trove of heritage that can be continuously curated and revitalized. Professor Zhang Jin, chief expert of the research group of "Research on Sino-foreign Interconnection of Silk Road Aesthetic Culture", said that the project will continue to be committed to strengthening academic exchanges along the Silk Road, actively responding to the national high-quality development of the "Belt and Road" and the high-level construction of the "Yellow River National Cultural Park", and drawing the Great Project of the Silk Road Aesthetic Community to assist the construction of the Community of Human Destiny.
Professor Sha Yongzhong, vice president of Lanzhou University, said that the research project on the Sino-foreign interconnection of the Silk Road aesthetic culture is an important harvest of joint cooperation between Lanzhou University and relevant universities and scientific research institutions, and is one of the important platforms for international academic exchanges in the future. This international academic conference focuses on the issue of aesthetic and cultural interconnection on the China-Europe Silk Road, and also marks that the major project of the National Social Science Foundation of Lanzhou University has achieved solid and fruitful phased results.
