# Xie Ronghua #
When I first met Xie Ronghua, he was dressed in proper clothes, every button was neatly tied, he wore a beanie hat on his head, sitting on a chair, when he saw the reporter enter the door, he hurriedly got up with a crutch, and the 93-year-old almost fell down together, and the people who were with him were flustered, but he smiled loudly and did nothing.

Xie Ronghua introduced
In February 1948, Xie Ronghua officially enlisted in the army. Later, he entered Korea with his troops and participated in the famous Battle of Shangganling. Xie Ronghua said that the Battle of Shangganling lasted for more than 40 days, the weather at minus 40 degrees Celsius, the cold wind that whistled through, and the snow that was more than a meter thick, this was the war environment they had to face. He participated in the battle for nearly 1 month and participated in 8 battles.

In the last battle in which Xie Ronghua participated, when he saw the machine gunner die, as a correspondent, he rushed forward without hesitation, set up the machine gun to continue the battle, just at this moment, one of the other side's shells suddenly landed on Xie Ronghua's back and exploded, the instructor was killed on the spot, and Xie Ronghua was also stunned. "When I woke up, I didn't know where I was, but I felt a lot of pain in my back." Later, Xie Ronghua followed the troops to the Soviet Union for treatment, because the skin on his back was seriously damaged, and the doctor took a flap from his abdomen for skin grafting, thus leaving a scar of 20 or 30 centimeters long.

In September 1953, Xie Ronghua was discharged from the army due to injury and illness, and he was awarded the third class merit once and the fourth class merit once. After retiring from the army, Xie Ronghua rarely mentioned his injured past with outsiders, let alone his meritorious deeds, and what he most hoped to pass on to his children and grandchildren was the spirit of daring to dedicate and not seeking returns.

# Lin Guowen #
When he met the elderly Lin Guowen, he was reading old newspapers in his room, which he had carefully sorted out, which recorded the changes of the Chinese era, and what touched him the most was the report on the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, because it was closely related to his experience in his youth.
Lin Guowen introduced
In 1953, the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea came to an end, the volunteer army that remained in Korea helped Korea to rebuild its homeland after the war, because of the urgent need for cultural construction of officers and men of the volunteer army stationed in Korea, in 1955, Lin Guowen rushed to Korea with the 46th Regiment of the 8th Artillery Division of the Volunteer Army, became a volunteer army cultural instructor, and helped the volunteers get rid of blindness. "To get rid of blindness is to raise the uneducated warrior to a person who knows 2,000 words," recalls the elderly Lin Guowen.
When he first entered North Korea, Lin Guowen not only had to help volunteer soldiers get rid of their illiteracy, but also participated in post-war reconstruction work. After the war, the Industrial System of North Korea was severely damaged, requiring a large amount of steel, so Lin Guowen led the Korean fighters to go all over the rural areas of North Korea to collect scrap iron abandoned during the war and ensure the smooth progress of the resumption of industrial production and construction in North Korea.

Today, the 88-year-old is still tough and in love with tourism, he excitedly picked up the photos of these years of travel to show us, "in recent years to go out 11 times, travel to 30 countries, like to run outside." Lin Guowen told us that today's happy life is not easy to come by, it is forged with the blood and life of our predecessors, so we should cherish the current good life.
