Recently, the Buick Veyron Pro crash test results were announced, reaching the C-NCAP "five-star" standard. The model participating in the test is SAIC-GM Motor Co., Ltd., Buick brand SGM7153JBA2 sedan (Buick Veyron Pro 533T Enjoy Edition).
In this crash test, the Buick SGM7153JBA2 sedan (Buick Veyron Pro 533T Enjoy Edition) scored 60.095 points, with a scoring rate of 85.85%, the pedestrian protection evaluation scored 10.554 points, with a scoring rate of 70.36%, and the active safety evaluation scored 14.659 points, with a scoring rate of 97.73%. According to the sum of the score rates of each part multiplied by the respective weight coefficients, the comprehensive score rate was 85.3%, which reached the C-NCAP "five-star" standard.
The new Buick Veyron Pro was officially launched in September this year, with a total of three models launched, priced at a price range of 129,900-152,900 yuan. The new car is positioned as a compact sedan, adopting a new family design language, flying wing front grille with a rounded and smooth body, and Buick's iconic "L" type light set, which greatly enhances the fashion and grade of the whole car.
The Veyron Pro interior features a wings-out wrap-around cockpit design accented with a dual-coloured soft bag. The center console is equipped with a 1920x720 resolution dual 10.25-inch large joint screen, which has built-in Buick eConncet 3.0 intelligent interconnection car machine system, supporting Al intelligent voice assistant, AutoNavi map navigation, car APP interconnection application, CarPlay and other functions.
In terms of space, the length, width and height of the Veyron Pro are 4664x1786x1472mm, the wheelbase is 2700mm, and the cockpit space can meet the daily household needs. The trunk volume of the vehicle reached 480L, which was an increase from the previous one (455L), and the second row of seats could be expanded to 1315L when reclined, reaching the mainstream level of A-class cars.
In terms of power, the Veyron Pro is equipped with a GM eighth-generation Ecotec 1.5T four-cylinder engine with a maximum power of 135 kW (184 hp) and a peak torque of 250 N·m, and the transmission matches the CVT CVT continuously variable transmission. In the chassis section, the vehicle is front-wheel drive, equipped with front McPherson-style independent suspension and rear torque beam + watt railing semi-independent suspension.
In addition, Buick also launched the Veyron Pro GS model, a total of two configurations, priced at 145,900-15.89 million yuan. Compared with the ordinary version of the Veyron Pro, the car will have a GS exclusive sports appearance kit and interior, and the whole car will have a more sporty atmosphere. In terms of power, the Veyron Pro GS is still equipped with a 1.5T+ CVT powertrain.
