Is "performance" the "ceiling" of the class?
The test drive was conducted in Guangzhou, and after a day of test drive, the author's first impression of the uniqueness of the new Veyron Pro was performance. The car is equipped with a new 1.5T engine, which achieves a maximum torque output of 250 Nm and a fuel consumption of 5.95 liters per 100 kilometers under WLTC conditions. More critically, the new 1.5T engine is a "four-cylinder engine" and also inherits the design concept of "single-cylinder optimal" in general. In order to further enhance the gold content of "single-cylinder optimal", this new 1.5T engine is equipped with the latest generation of controller chips, with an increase in computing power of nearly 14%, an increase in internal memory performance of more than 33%, and for the first time, neural networks, deep learning and other control technologies are applied to engine control decisions.
It is worth mentioning that in addition to the design concept and software algorithms, many of the technologies applied by this new 1.5T engine are also designed for performance, including but not limited to 35MPA high-pressure direct injection systems, electric vent valve turbochargers, ATM active thermal management systems, NVH depth optimization, etc. At the same time, the transmission matched to this engine is the CVT with greater speed ratio and transmission efficiency. Evolved to this day, the CVT has been able to adapt to large torques through special tuning, and this is the case with the CVT that appears on the new Veyron Pro. In actual driving, the CVT transmission will transmit the power out at the first time, so the starting acceleration and re-acceleration are relatively crisp and clean.
Of course, if you are a professional racing driver and need the "intense driving control" similar to racing, the new Veyron Pro can't do it, not only the Veyron Pro, but most of the cars on the market will disappoint you. Sports cars still have to serve ordinary users, and while providing pure driving pleasure, we must ensure a certain degree of comfort.
There is no shortage of intelligence and ease of use
Another unique feature of the new Veyron Pro is intelligence. Inside the carriage, you can see the horizontal curved screen, which is the "two-in-one" of the instrument panel and the central control screen, and its resolution is 1920 * 720, which is rare in the same level. Behind this large screen is Buick's latest eCONNECT 3.0 intelligent interconnection system, which provides functions such as human-computer interaction, speech recognition, navigation and multimedia, and supports OTA remote upgrades. And the system provides a child-only APP, through personalized settings, can provide children of different ages with corresponding content.
The new Veyron Pro is an A-class car, but by moving the front axle forward, it frees up more space for the cockpit. It is worth mentioning that the effective volume of the trunk is 480 liters, which can fit the family's travel equipment.
Comments: Middle-aged people can also be "young"
In my opinion, it is not necessary that young people who have just joined the work are "young people". When a person reaches middle age, there are four old people on the top and two children on the bottom, and they can also be "young people". Youth is the youth that belongs to all people, not exclusive to a certain age. To some extent, middle-aged people with a certain amount of wealth accumulation can make "young" more exciting, let "young" have more ways of presentation, and make the uniqueness of Veyron Pro more useful.
Everywhere is a way of life conveyed by SAIC-GM Buick through the new Veyron Pro, which is clearly different from the sporty attributes and temperament of other sports cars. In fact, in the author's eyes, this is a kind of regression. On the new Veyron Pro, what you see is more of a long-lost sense of familiarity. This feeling helps to boost the "spirit" and contributes to the formation of a healthier family relationship. This feeling is not "extreme", but "reliable". Young, can belong to everyone, but life may wish to be a little more reliable.
