Based on the evaluation results of 102 new cars evaluated by C-NCAP 2018 edition, the Blue Book conducts a detailed analysis of the safety performance evaluation data of mainland vehicles. The data shows that the average annual composite score rate of the models measured by C-NCAP has risen from 75.9% in 2018 to 89.1% in 2021.
The gap between Chinese brands and joint venture brands is also gradually narrowing; the active safety performance of new energy vehicles is eye-catching; whether it is a car or an SUV, the same type of "big car" is safer than a "small car"; the improvement of the protection performance of pedestrians outside the car also faces many challenges, and the active hood is very effective; AEB technology has gradually matured, and the configuration rate has been significantly improved.
CCRT is a fusion evaluation system that is based on the needs of Local Chinese consumers, selects the core indicators that consumers pay attention to in car selection and car purchase, and establishes an integrated evaluation system based on objective testing and supplemented by consumer research. The CCRT section of the Blue Book shows the technical trends in drivability, comfort, failure rate and other aspects of the 84 CCRT-based 2018 edition evaluation models.
It is reported that the comprehensive performance of the evaluation model CCRT score has steadily improved, and the trend of independent brands is more obvious; after using Chinese working conditions and including high-temperature air conditioning scenarios, CCRT China's working conditions fuel consumption is very close to the actual fuel consumption of users; air conditioning is a factor that cannot be ignored in terms of fuel consumption, with an average increase of 28.7% after opening; there is no obvious difference in the electromagnetic radiation level of different types of vehicles such as fuel vehicles, pure electric vehicles, and hybrid vehicles.
In the future, based on the evaluation results, the CHINA AUTOMOBILE Center will regularly release the annual "China Automobile Evaluation Blue Book", in addition to C-NCAP and CCRT, the CHINA AUTOMOBILE Center is also promoting the verification and implementation of the special procedures for automatic driving evaluation.
