On December 31st, the "Nine Point Water Art Museum", a new cultural landmark in Caohejing Area, Shanghai, was officially opened, and as the opening exhibition, "Calligraphy and Painting on the Sea, Pen and Ink Literary Heart - Ming and Qing Dynasty and Modern Famous Artists Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition" exhibited more than 80 pieces of Ming and Qing dynasty calligraphy and paintings, modern calligraphy and paintings and contemporary calligraphy and paintings. Not only that, the exhibition also allows painters from Shanghai and Beijing to "integrate the north and the south" - more than 10 representative artists of the contemporary art world participate in the exhibition, building a bridge of communication between different artistic styles.

In addition, the exhibition site has more "cultural digitalization" display application, with cultural relics big data as the core, presenting the famous masterpieces of the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties with the art of the times, interpreting the story behind each cultural relics and art masterpieces in multimedia ways such as video, VR, animation, and voice, and carefully viewing the Chinese millennium context, presenting a feast of Chinese calligraphy and painting art for the public. This exhibition presents the development and changes of Chinese painting and calligraphy in the past 500 years in the context of time; takes space as the clue to present the characteristics and connections of painting styles in the north and south regions; takes comparative science as the methodology to study the differences in painting styles in different regions in the same period, which is one of the few academic exhibitions in China in recent years with a large span of years, many participating painters, and many famous artists in the north and south regions. The exhibition will be held on December 30, 2021 and will run until March 27 next year, through Xuhui District. During the exhibition period, various public education and guided tours will be launched successively. In addition, taking into account the preciousness of ancient paintings, their extremely high value and the difficulty of preservation, the ming and modern calligraphy and painting exhibits will be exhibited until January 23, 2022, and the content of the exhibits will be adjusted after the Spring Festival.
