Guan Yu (160–220), originally changsheng, later changed to Yunchang, was a native of Xie County, Hedong County (present-day Yuncheng, Shanxi). The end of Han followed Liu Bei to fight the world.
Guan Yu reached the peak of his life after the "Flooding of the Seventh Army", and for a time he shocked Huaxia. However, Guan Yu soon carelessly lost Jingzhou, defeated Maicheng, abandoned his previous achievements, and was captured by Sun Quan. Guan Yu ning did not surrender, and Sun Quan impulsively beheaded Guan Yu, but Sun Quan soon regretted it. Some strategists came up with the idea that Guan Yu's head could be given to Cao Cao, so that Liu Bei would think that killing Guan Yu was Cao Cao's idea and could distract Liu Bei's anger.
After receiving Guan Yu's head, Cao Cao remembered his old love with Guan Yu, felt his loyalty, and also wanted Sun Quan's ruse to fail, so he carved Guan Yu's body out of sandalwood, spliced it with his head, chose an auspicious day, and solemnly buried him in the south of Luoyang City with princely etiquette, and all the wen and martial officials attended the funeral. The tomb of Guan Yu here is called "Guan Lin", "Lin" means tomb, the tomb of the princes is called "Lin"; the tomb of the king and emperor is called "Ling". To this day Luoyang is also related to LinZhen, Guanlin Railway Station.
After Yuan Shikai's death, the tomb wanted to be called Yuan Ling, and Yuan Shikai's friend Xu Shichang thought that it should be low-key, so it was called "Yuan Lin". Guan Yu also has a similar situation, and Guan Yu's situation is more "tangled".
Because Guan Yu was captured and beheaded on the spot, the head was sent to Sun Quan of Jianye. Therefore, after Sun Quan regretted killing Guan Yu, he buried Guan Yu's body in Dangyang with Wang Li, and in order to show his kindness to Guan Yu and show it to Liu Bei, he called Guan Yu's tomb Guan Yu: Guan Ling.
At the same time, Shu Han built a crown tomb for Guan Yu in Chengdu, that is, the tomb of Guan Yu in Chengdu, because Guan Yu lost Jingzhou caused huge losses to Shu Han, it was called "tomb", basically according to the etiquette of ordinary people. After Liu Bei's death, Shu Han posthumously honored Guan Yu as "Marquis of Zhuangmiao", which means Hou with developed limbs. From the tomb and the name of Marquis Zhuangmiao, it can be seen that Shu Han was dissatisfied with Guan Yu.
Therefore, the folk also call Guan Yu "head pillow Luoyang, lying in the sun, the soul returned to the hometown." This hometown includes Guan Yu's first hometown, Shanxi, and chengdu, the second hometown. These three places Guan Yu cemetery: Guan Tomb, Guan Lin, Guan Ling, the knighthood rank is raised in turn, the place where the headrest is Lin, the place where the body lies is the mausoleum, and the place where the soul returns is the tomb of Guan Yu.
Sun Quan buried Guan Yu with Wang Li, which was completely for Liu Bei's group and had no sincerity. Cao Cao buried Guan Yu with princely ceremonies, and in addition to showing Liu Bei, sincerity also accounted for a lot. Liu Bei's side was more about taking Guan Yu to make an example, and he had to get a crown tomb as a last resort, so he would definitely not use the princes and the royal ceremony. Guan Yu was desolate in the place where he served, shu Han, but enjoyed special favors from Cao Cao, who always loved Guan Yu.
