Regarding the story of the Sui Emperor, I believe that everyone has heard about it, and the most criticized place of the Sui Emperor is that he drove his brother Yang Yong to the end.
At that time, Emperor Wen of Sui and Empress Dugu were both notoriously frugal, and in front of his parents who were accustomed to living a poor life, Yang Yong's life was indeed very luxurious. Once, he stood in front of his father wearing a brand new "Wen Ornament Shu Armor", while Emperor Wen of Sui gave him a worn-out decorative knife and a box of pickles.
The intention of these things is obvious, that is, to warn him to remember the past, that people all over the world are saving, and you are eating and drinking a lot of clothes, which is not what the prince should do.
And Yang Yong's character is willful and straightforward, and he acts without pretense, which leads to Yang Jian, who advocates frugality and is addicted to power, and gradually becomes jealous of him, so that his crown prince position is naturally unstable.
On the winter solstice of one year, the Wenwu Hundred Officials came to the Eastern Palace to see Yang Yong, and when Yang Yong saw this situation, he beckoned the Fuzhong Band to welcome the Hundred Officials, and at the same time he also put on formal clothes and accepted the congratulations of the Hundred Officials.
The problem, however, was that the ministers had not yet gone to see Yang Jian. When Yang Jian heard that the hundred officials first worshipped the prince and then worshiped himself, he had always been very suspicious, and the string in his heart that strictly prevented the usurpation of the throne by his courtiers tightened even tighter, and such an act was simply to prepare for the etiquette after the prince ascended the throne in the future.
Therefore, Yang Jian ordered the hundred officials: There is a difference in etiquette, and there is a difference between the monarch and the subject. The crown prince was also a courtier. At the winter solstice, the internal and external officials all sent gifts to the East Palace with local specialties to congratulate the prince, this kind of thing is not in accordance with the rules, and should be completely eliminated! And Yang Yong was also disgusted by his father because of this incident.
On the other hand, Yang Guang, who was recognized by his parents in both moral cultivation and political behavior, began to rely on his mother and yang Su from the outside, and constantly exerted the influence of abolishing his father and his father. Finally, under the frequent influence of his inner palace and external dynasties, Yang Jian announced the abolition of Yang Yong and the establishment of Yang Guang as crown prince.
Later, when Emperor Wen was ill at Renshou Palace, both the crown prince and Emperor Wen's concubines were accompanied by attendants, and the Zizhi Tongjian and the Book of Sui recorded that Lady Xuanhua was "disrespected" by the crown prince Yang Guang. After Lady Xuanhua told Emperor Wen about this, Emperor Wen realized that he had wronged Yang Yong, and scolded The Lonely Empress and Yang Guang, and also sent someone to summon Yang Yong into the palace to prepare to depose Yang Guang and restore Yang Yong as crown prince, but this matter was intercepted by Yang Guang, and Emperor Wen collapsed violently.
After Yang Guang ascended the throne, he immediately pretended to be Emperor Wen's edict and gave Yang Yong death. Emperor Jue later posthumously made Yang Yong the Prince of Fangling, but his heirs were not allowed to inherit his throne, and all of them were exiled to Jinan, and most of them were later killed by Yang Guang.
For this final outcome, people were very disapproving of the Sui Emperor's approach, so this also became a stain on him. However, the development of this ancient tomb has made people begin to think that this may be a forged history.
At that time, an ancient tomb was found in the village of Tongguo in Shaanxi, but when experts developed it, they found that the tomb had been stolen many times, and a large number of cultural relics were lost, but not all valuable items would be taken away, such as murals.
The value of murals as cultural relics is immeasurable, but tomb robbers are difficult to take away, so these murals have survived. The problem is that the tomb has even been stolen from the tombstone that records the identity of the owner, so experts can only speculate.
According to the shape of the tomb, they agreed that this was a tomb of the Sui Dynasty, and it can be understood from its frescoes that the owner of this tomb should be a prince. Throughout the history of the Sui Dynasty, there were only two princes, and in the end experts believed that this was Yang Yong's tomb.
This is by far the largest and highest-grade Sui Dynasty tomb excavated in the archaeological history of Our country. The tomb is 63.8 meters long and 16.6 meters deep, and is composed of a sloped tomb passage, 7 caves, 6 patios, 4 niches, a brick passage and a burial chamber.
A portrait sarcophagus excavated from the tomb is huge and exquisitely made, and the line carving layout is meticulous, which has high historical and artistic research value.
And the problem is, everyone knows that in the end, Yang Yong was killed by Yang Guang, but now it is found that Yang Yong's tomb was buried with the etiquette of a prince, and according to the reason, with the relationship between the two people, Yang Guang could not have gone to such great lengths, and in the face of such facts, people can't help but wonder, did Yang Guang really kill his brother Yang Yong?
Perhaps this is just a smear of posterity. Experts also believe that the Sui Emperor can no longer be slandered.
