Recently, China Automobile Research Institute (CCRT) released the winter endurance results of 6 electric vehicles.
China Automobile Research Institute tested the continuous cruising range at room temperature (23±3 °C) and low temperature (-7±3 °C) environment, ranking according to the performance of the endurance decline rate, which were BYD Han EV, BMW iX3, Tesla Model, NIO EC6, Xiaopeng P7 and Nezha U Pro.
Specifically, in the normal temperature environment, the cruising range of the BYD Han EV was measured to be 629 kilometers, while in the low temperature environment, the endurance was 435 kilometers, and the attenuation range was 30.9%; the CRUI range in the BMW iX 3 normal temperature environment was 546 kilometers, the low temperature was 345 kilometers, and the attenuation range was 36.6%.
Tesla Model 3 followed, with a room temperature environment range of 520 kilometers, a low temperature of 328 kilometers, and an attenuation of 36.9%, as for Weilai EC6, Xiaopeng P7 and Nezha U Pro, the attenuation rate was 42.1%, 42.3% and 42.4%, respectively.
The average reduction rate of the low-temperature cruising range of the above six electric plans is 39%.
I have to say that the impact of the low temperature environment on the endurance of electric vehicles is indeed very large, basically up to 6-7 folds, if you go to the colder north, the mileage will even be reduced by half.
Therefore, when northern users use electric vehicles to travel in winter, they should pay more attention to the problem of attenuation of the mileage, recharge in time, and prevent anchorage in the middle of the road.
