On the morning of May 15th, a reporter from Dahe Daily Yu Video "Seeing" contacted the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of East China University of Science and Technology, and a staff member of the Propaganda Department said that they had received this information, and there was currently a special person to deal with this matter, and other information was not convenient to disclose now.
Subsequently, the reporter contacted the Zhongshan Police Station of the Songjiang Branch of the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau, and the staff of the other party said that the police information should have been handled by a department of the Songjiang Branch. A staff member at the Songjiang branch of the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau said he did not respond on the phone.
Article 4 of the Regulations on Disciplinary Sanctions for Students of East China University of Science and Technology stipulates that if a student violates laws and regulations, the relevant management regulations of the education department and the school, the school shall give criticism and education, and may give the following disciplinary sanctions depending on the severity of the circumstances: warning, serious warning, demerit, probation, and expulsion. Article 14 stipulates that those who harass or molest others through language, physical behavior, writing, images, electronic information, etc., threaten the health and safety of others, or interfere with the normal study and life of others, shall be given a warning or higher punishment depending on the severity of the circumstances.
On the morning of May 15, the social media accounts of the above-mentioned netizens were banned from posting their works.
