Zhang Xueliang's secretary broke away from the Nationalist army and switched to our army, zhang Xueliang said that this road was right, and he became a general after 18 years

After winning the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation for fourteen years. The founding of the People's Republic of China is a homeland that was built at the expense of countless sons and daughters of China, and the sacrifices of the anti-Japanese heroes are still unforgettable to us.

In that era, almost all young men joined the army to fight, and many heroes died in the war, and many heroes survived. One of the founding generals I want to talk about today is the hero who survived the 18-year war. His name was Lü Zhengcao (formerly known as Lü Zhengchao, literally" ).

Lü Zhengcao was born into a peasant family, and in his early years, the Japanese army had occupied the South Manchuria Railway in the northeast. This railway is the place where Lü Zhengcao's village, where the labor in the field will definitely pass. Lü Zhengcao's family was once slashed by the Japanese police because he wanted to work in the field after passing through this railway. At that time, Lu Zhengcao planted the seeds of hatred for the Japanese in his heart.

Because of his family's poverty, Lu Zhengcao dropped out of primary school after four years of primary school and had to work as a farmer at home. At the age of 14, Lü Zhengcao entered the silk reeling factory as an apprentice, and after three years of work, Lü Zhengcao signed up to join the army. He joined Zhang Xueliang's Northeast Army and began his "career as a horseman".

Because of reading some books, Lü Zhengcao was fortunate to be transferred to the adjutant of the brigade headquarters as a clerk, and later was appreciated by Zhang Xueliang, who recommended him to apply for the Northeast Army Lecture Hall. After studying for a few years, he became Zhang Xueliang's lieutenant major and participated in the "Second Zhifeng War". Since then, Lü Zhengcao's military position has been promoted all the way, successively serving as Zhang Xueliang's secretary for many years, and also serving as the chief of staff, the head of the regiment, and the officer of the Tongze Club.

After that, Zhang Xueliang and Yang Hucheng were imprisoned for launching the Xi'an Incident. Chiang Kai-shek forcibly ordered the Reorganization of the Northeast Army, and Lü Zhengcao was appointed commander of the 691st Regiment of the 53rd Army of the National Revolutionary Army. But for this position, he didn't do it for long. After the outbreak of the July 7 Incident, the 691st Regiment under the command of Lü Zhengcao took advantage of the retreat of the 53rd Army to the south and formally broke away from the National Revolutionary Army and switched to our army. He was appointed commander of the Third Column of the Eighth Route Army and commander of the Jizhong Military Region, and began to create the "Anti-Japanese Base Area in the Jizhong Plain." Zhang Xueliang, who was imprisoned at the time, heard the news and said: "Bizhi (Lü Zhengcaozi) has taken the right path."

On October 10, 1937, Lü Zhengcao led his troops to fight the Japanese army, killing many Japanese lieutenants. Later, he was surrounded by Japanese troops, but he did not want to retreat and led his team straight to the enemy camp, receiving troops to break through the siege. Lü Zhengcao led his troops to the Jizhong Plain, creating many legendary achievements in the Plains War of Resistance, annihilating countless Japanese troops, and smashing Okamura Ninji's "Iron Wall Encirclement" plan.

At that time, Lü Zhengcao's name made the Japanese army feel frightened, and the Japanese army also offered a huge reward for Lü Zhengcao's head. However, despite how the Japanese attacked, they were all beaten back by Lü Zhengcao. Making the enemy afraid of himself has also become the proudest stroke of Lu Zhengcao's life, and he once said: "What I am most proud of is to fight Japan."

After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the founding of the People's Republic Lü Zhengcao was awarded the rank of general and was awarded the "Order of Independence and Freedom of the First Class" and the "Liberation Medal of the First Class". He dedicated himself to the country for many years, and later, in 1983 he retired, but still cared about the country's affairs. Until October 13, 2009, Lu Zhengcao died in Beijing at the age of 106.
