83-year-old calligrapher Zhou Huijun passed away and won the "Lifetime Achievement Award"

The Shanghai Federation of Literary and Art Circles issued an obituary that on December 27, 2021, the calligrapher Mr. Zhou Huijun died peacefully at home at the age of 83.

Zhou Huijun, born in 1939, is a native of Zhenhai, Zhejiang. He once served as the vice chairman of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, the fourth and fifth chairman of the Shanghai Calligraphers Association, the vice chairman of the Shanghai Municipal Federation of Literature and Literature, the consultant of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, the honorary chairman of the Shanghai Calligraphers Association, the librarian of the Shanghai Museum of Literature and History, the national first-class artist, and enjoyed the special government allowance issued by the State Council. In 2014, he won the "Lifetime Achievement Award" of the 5th Chinese Calligraphy Lanting Award and the "Outstanding Contribution Award" of the 6th Shanghai Literature and Art Award. In 2019, he won the "Lifetime Achievement Award" of the 7th Shanghai Literature and Art Award.

Zhou Huijun has kept the artist's garden in her heart all her life, not moved by fame and fortune, not pretending to be a master of masters, and her diligent, humble, peaceful, close, self-disciplined attitude towards life and the way of dealing with the world can be called a model of Chinese tradition for people to stand for themselves. Zhou Huijun is also a banner in Shanghai's calligraphy community. In an era when ancient Chinese character posters were almost "broken", she used Han Mo Fanghua to connect the love of calligraphy in her bones Chinese, which influenced an entire generation.
