Although the EQE is covered with heavy camouflage cloth, it can also be seen from the spy photos, and the body shape of the EQE is similar to the shape of the cross-border SUV, and it is also somewhat similar to the EQS series model that is about to be released, but the size seems to be a little smaller than the EQS. From the body contour of EQE, it can also be seen that the sports atmosphere on EQE is not bad, and the design of the narrow window with a high waist line is most likely because the battery pack is installed under the seat, so the waist line will be higher.
Not surprisingly, there are many electrified elements on the EQE, such as hidden door handles, closed grilles and closed wheels. Reducing the drag coefficient to save energy consumption is a common design on electric models.
Although not too many photos of the interior have been revealed, it is possible to refer to the interior configuration of the EQE sedan model, which is likely to be equipped with a three-spoke steering wheel, a floating center console and a three-screen MBUX Hyperscreen configuration, as well as a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 17.7-inch infotainment system touch screen, and a 12.3-inch front passenger display.
The powertrain system of the EQE SUV based on the EVA2 electric model's dedicated architecture may be the same as the configuration of the EQE sedan version. It is divided into a single motor rear drive version and a dual motor four-wheel drive version. The single-motor rear-drive version has a maximum horsepower of 292 hp, a maximum power of 215 kW and a peak torque of 530 N·m. The dual-motor 4WD version has a maximum horsepower of 680 hp, a maximum power of 500 kW and a peak torque of 750 N·m. Such a strong impetus to push this SUV is more than enough.
It is certain that the EQE SUV will use a 90.6 kWh lithium-ion battery pack with the same capacity as the EQE sedan model, but due to the weight of the SUV, the range of the EQE SUV should be lower than that of the EQE sedan version, and the mileage is expected to be below 660 km.
