Although this person was born in the city and behaved in a rather rogue style, because Liu Bang was well versed in the rules of the rivers and lakes and was sleek and good at communication, his popularity in his hometown was very good.
Sima Qian's "History, Volume 93, Han Xin Lu Qi's Biography Xxxiii", records the three people of Han Wang Han Xin (not Marquis Han Xin of Huaiyin), Lu Xie, and Chen Feng. It is said that Lu Xie and Liu Bang have known each other since childhood, and the two have been good buddies who grew up wearing a pair of pants since they were young.
It is worth mentioning that there is quite a relationship between these two people, the Liu family and the Lu family are family friends, and Lu Xie and Liu Bang were born on the same day in the same month, such a fate is rare. The two have such a rare fate, and they have similar temperaments. During Liu Bang's affair, Lu Xie and Liu Bang spent countless difficult years and accompanied Liu Bang to grow from a small people in the city to a king of a country.
Lu Xie and Liu Bang not only have the fate of "being born on the same day in the same month", but also have the childhood experience of sleeping in the same robe, and have also withstood the test of hard work and entrepreneurship. However, it is difficult to understand that such a pair of brothers of the opposite sex parted ways in their later years. The friendship between the two did not begin well, and Lu Xie eventually left the Han Dynasty and defected to Liu Bang's sworn enemy, the Xiongnu.
So why did Lu Xuan make such a choice?
We may as well start from the beginning of the story, at the end of the Qin Dynasty, Liu Bang became the pavilion chief of his hometown by relying on his trust relationship to go through the back door, and his position was similar to that of the current film police. Just as the so-called "jiangshan is easy to change and difficult to move", Liu Bang has been in the city for many years, although he has become a small official, but the anger on his body is difficult to get rid of, so he has caused many disasters.
When Liu Bang was imprisoned and eating a meal in prison, Lu Xian did not shy away from suspicion, came to the big prison to visit his friends, and mobilized contacts to dot Liu Bang up and down. As Liu Bang's brother, Lu Xie did indeed do the righteousness first. After some time, the restless Liu Bang joined the wave of peasant uprisings, pulling up a team in his hometown to resist the harsh government of the Qin Dynasty.
As Liu Bang's most trusted and good brother, Lu Xie naturally threw himself into Liu Bang's command. As Liu Bang's troops gradually grew, Lu Xie's position rose with it. Before Zhang Liang and others joined the army, Lu Xie was always the highest commander under Liu Bang and the "second in command" in the rebel army. After Liu Bang was made the King of Han, Lu Xie was also promoted to general and received the post of attendant.
After Liu Bang and Xiang Yu turned their faces, Lu Xie was appointed as a lieutenant and was able to freely enter and leave the Han King's palace. However, at this time, Liu Bang already had famous generals such as Han Xin and Zhang Liang under his command, and the military operations basically could not be solved by Lu Xie, and the internal affairs problems were solved by Xiao He, Cao Shan, and other capable people, and Lu Xian, who lacked ability, could not intervene. However, Lu Xie was very self-aware, and he found his position in time.
Since he could enter and leave the inner court at will, Lu Xie took the initiative to take on the work of a housekeeper and helpEd Liu Bang within his ability. Under the control of Lu Xie, Liu Bang's diet and living were taken care of in an orderly manner, and the King of Han did not need to be bothered by these life problems at all, and had more energy to deal with military affairs.
Although Lu Xie's merits were not as good as those of Han Xin and Xiao He, no minister could compare with Lu Xie in terms of the courtesy and trust he received in the royal court. After calming the world, Liu Bang finally sat on the dragon chair he dreamed of. However, the civil unrest that awaited the Han Dynasty had only just begun.
In July of the fifth year of the Han Dynasty, Zang Di raised the anti-banner, and Liu Bang spent four months to suppress it, and at the same time, appointed Lu Xie to replace the former as the new King of Yan. Not long after, Chen Feng plotted a rebellion again, and Liu Bang and Lu Xie copied each other in two ways, forcing Chen Feng to a desperate situation. Desperate, Chen Feng had to send people to the Xiongnu for help, and Lu Xie also sent emissaries to the Xiongnu to persuade the Xiongnu to stop sending troops.
After Lu Xie's emissary Zhang Sheng came to the Xiongnu, he met a deceased man, the son of the former Yan king Zang Di. During the conversation between the two, Zang Di's son Tuo Zhangsheng conveyed to Lu Xie the truth of the cold lips and teeth, saying: After Chen Feng was eliminated by Liu Bang, yan guo would be the next target. After Hearing these words, Lu Xie left a heart eye on Liu Bang.
From then on, Lu Xie began to contact the Xiongnu and left a way back for himself.
A few years later, when Chen Feng was killed by Fan Huan, Lu Xie's collusion with the Xiongnu was revealed. Liu Bang never dreamed that the most loyal Lu Xuan would actually do such a thing. Liu Bang did not want to believe that his friend had betrayed him, and sent people to invite Lu Xie to Chang'an many times, but Lu Xie fell ill in bed every time and refused to see Liu Bang.
After some time, the defenders captured a group of Xiongnu on the Han-Hungarian border, and learned from them that Zhang Sheng under Lu Xie was a spy of the Xiongnu, which made Liu Bang firmly believe that his former friend had a different heart. However, before Liu Bang could deal with Lu Xie, Liu Bang suddenly resigned. As soon as Liu Bang died, Lu Xie absconded to the Xiongnu with several of his cronies and broke away from the Han Dynasty.
I believe that reading this, everyone will be strange about Lu Qi's behavior, why would he betray his close friends?
The author believes that after witnessing the end of Han Xin, Peng Yue and others, Lu Xie believes that he will also be liquidated by Liu Bang, so he will leave a way back for himself. Of course, it was impossible for Lu Xie to rebel, and he only wanted to seek refuge when necessary, nothing more. In 194 BC, Lu Xie died in the Xiongnu, died at the age of sixty-three.
Finally, there is one more point worth mentioning.
That is, when Lu Xie betrayed the Han Dynasty and fled to the Xiongnu, his subject Wei Man also fled with him, and brought more than a thousand people into the Korean Peninsula, and received the favor of the Korean King Ji Zhun. In 194 BC, Wei Manchu falsely sent a large army to attack the Han Dynasty and requested to come to Ji Zhun's side to guard it, and Ji Zhun did not know whether it was deceitful and promised Wei Man's request.
Therefore, Wei Man took advantage of this opportunity to lead an army to march towards Wang Du Wang, which is now Pyongyang, and after capturing Wang Du in one fell swoop, he established himself as king, known in history as "Wei Dynasty Korea".
