His third daughter is Jiang Ying, yes, the wife of the father of missiles, so he is the father-in-law of the father of missiles.
His original wife, Cha Pinzhen (later divorced), was Jin Daxia's aunt, so Jiang Baili was Jin Daxia's uncle.
Jiang Baili, alias Jiang Fangzhen, the name comes from "Zhou Yi Zhengua" "Shocking Hundred Miles", as far as the achievements of his life are concerned, it is true that people are as famous as his name.
He was born in Haining, Zhejiang, his grandfather Jiang Guangxu (号穆公) was a famous bibliophile and engraver, he was talented and intelligent since childhood, he had the ability to never forget, at the age of 16 he was admitted to Xiucai, which happened to be the year of Peng Shu (1898), and liang Qichao's disciple Cai Yi was also admitted to the Xiucai examination.
The two later went to the Japanese Army Non-Commissioned Officer School to study military affairs together, which can be described as like-minded, and at first sight, they formed a life-and-death friendship.
During his study abroad, introduced by Cai Yi, Jiang Baili met Liang Qichao and worshiped him as a teacher, and Liang Qichao greatly appreciated Jiang Baili's talents.
In 1905, he graduated from the thirteenth graduating class of the Infantry Section of the Japanese Army Non-Commissioned Officer School, and during the graduation examination, he took away the sword of the Japanese Emperor representing the first place in front of all Japanese graduates, and his friend Cai Yi ranked second.
This study abroad experience also laid the foundation for him to become a military strategist and a military scholar in the future.

During his study abroad, Jiang Baili was elected as the director of the student conference and founded the magazine "Zhejiang Chao", which was marketed in China at that time and supported by Lu Xun.
Under the pseudonyms FeiSheng and Yu Yi, Jiang Baili published a series of long papers such as "The Soul of the Nation" and "The Theory of Nationalism" in Zhejiang Chao.
In 1906, Jiang Baili studied in Germany, and after returning to China, he successively served as the general counselor of the Zhejiang Governor's Office and the principal of the Baoding Army Officer School.
Interestingly, he also worked as a consultant to Yuan Datou.
At that time, Jiang Baili had been erratic, just like China at that time.
Maybe it's the disappointment of the situation, maybe it's the lack of access to the country, or maybe it's helpless... During his tenure as principal of the Baoding Army Officer School, he chose to commit suicide.
On that day, just after dawn, Jiang Baili summoned more than 2,000 teachers and students from the whole school for emergency training. Dressed in a yellow military uniform, with a long-handled saber hanging from his waist and polished riding boots on his feet, he stood on the stone steps of the Shangwu Hall with a sad face: "When I first arrived at the school, I swore that you must do what I want you to do; I must do what you want me to do." If you can't do it, I'm going to punish you; if I can't do it, I'm going to punish myself. Now it seems that I have failed to fulfill my responsibilities... You must summon up the courage to take on the great responsibility of China's future!". Subsequently, Jiang Baili took out his pistol and aimed it at the left side of his chest and fired a sharp shot...
Fortunately, the attendants around them found out and went forward to grab the gun, and the bullet was deflected after the load, which did not hurt the heart, but only scratched the surface of the lungs.
The reason why Jiang Baili died is still a mystery.
If the great difficulty does not die, there will be a blessing. Jiang Baili, who has the aura of the protagonist, committed suicide not only did not hurt his life, but met a beautiful love.

During his convalescence, a Japanese nurse, Sato Yaya, took care of Jiang Baili. Sato's house is virtuous and beautiful, and as time goes on, Jiang Baili begins to move.
After Jiang Baili recovered from his illness, Sato Yaya also returned to China, but Jiang Baili found that he had fallen in love with this woman.
Therefore, Jiang Baili wrote to her, proposed to her, one letter was not enough for two, three, four, wrote a lot of beautiful love letters, and finally touched the heart of Sato House, Sato House immediately came to China, became Jiang Baili's second wife, and later changed his name to Jiang Zuomei. The story of Jiang Baili marrying a Japanese wife was a good story at the time.
Later, Jiang Baili successively served as Wu Peifu's senior adviser and other positions. During his expedition to Japan, he discovered Japan's wolf ambitions, believed that the Sino-Japanese war was inevitable, and drew up a variety of plans. The call for preparation was unfortunately not taken up. After going to Europe and the United States to investigate, after returning to China, he proposed the development of the air force, which was China's earliest idea on the construction of the air force, from Jiang Baili, who came from the army.
Although most of his students became generals, he himself never personally commanded a battle, and always served as a senior staff member and was a tribute to the princes.
Finally, he began to write books.
"On National Defense"
Jiang Baili traveled a long distance to more than 10 provinces, combined with his analysis and research of Japan, in early 1937, Jiang Baili's most important collection of military treatises, "On National Defense", was published. This book is the first national defense theoretical work in China's modern history, and it is also the basis for the strategic guidance of professional operations against Japan.
In the book, Jiang Baili asserts that an all-out war between China and Japan is inevitable, and on the title page of the book he writes: "A thousand words and a thousand words are just to tell everyone one sentence, China has a way!" ”
With regard to the strategy toward Japan, he put forward three viewpoints: First, exchange space for time and wait for the situation to be reversed; second, not afraid of whale swallowing, only afraid of encroachment, all-round war of resistance; third, to go to war in Shanghai, using geographical conditions to weaken the Japanese offensive, to prevent the Japanese army from forming a confrontation with the second line of defense (Hunan), forming a long-term battlefield.
Perhaps it was because Jiang Baili was exhausted by the development of the War of Resistance. In 1938, Jiang Baili died of cardiac paralysis at the age of 56.
Later, the development of the war, which proceeded exactly according to his expectations, reflected his accurate grasp of the strength and strategic posture of the two countries, and he was thus praised by later generations as the first general of the nationalist army.
After his death, celebrities sent lanyards and elegy poems one after another. A few years later, he was buried with the scenery of national mourning. Looking at the Republic of China, the only person who can win this honor is the only one.
