Of course, there are actually few people in the Japanese army who really have the spirit of Bushido, and almost all the films in the film and television dramas are false, such as Hideki Tojo, who chose to commit suicide many times but did not die, for which the outside people scolded him as a coward.
But in our modern China, there is such a big person, this person once served as the principal of the Baoding Military Academy, because he asked Yuan Shikai for the school's funds, but he was rejected, so he chose to shoot himself in front of the teachers and students of the whole school in 1913.
He is General Jiang Baili, a military theorist and military educator, and I believe that everyone must have heard of his great name, Jiang Baili's daughter is Jiang Ying, his son-in-law is the patriotic scientist Qian Xuesen, and there is also a famous nephew Jin Yong.
Jiang Baili can be said to be a very good military expert in the Republic of China period, he was talented when he was very young, and later went to Germany and Japan to study, which also provided a good platform for his future military achievements, and Jiang Baili also had unique insights in calligraphy and literature.
After Jiang Baili returned to China after completing his studies, he did not choose to use his military achievements to promote officials and get rich, but thought about how to cultivate many outstanding military talents for modern China, for which he can be said to have paid a lifetime of painstaking efforts.
In 1912, Jiang Baili was invited by Yuan Shikai, in fact, he hoped that Jiang Baili could serve as the principal of the Baoding Army Officer School, and as Jiang Baili, who had long wanted to serve the motherland, naturally agreed, after all, the school was a place dedicated to cultivating talents, and at that time, the Baoding Military Academy was a very high-level military academy, and students who could study here were likely to build a foundation for China in the future.
The first thing Jiang Baili did when he came to the Baoding Military Academy was to announce that he must cultivate the best students, otherwise he would "kill himself and thank the world", and also sent each student a copy of "The Way of China" written by teacher Liang Qichao, warning the students that they must be brave and good at war and loyal to the country.
However, what I did not expect was that Jiang Baili's concept of running a school was contrary to the Beiyang government, which was actually to deal with it casually, and Jiang Baili was very determined to run the school well, which naturally made Jiang Baili very angry, and after that, the Beiyang government often withheld the school running funds, which undoubtedly made Jiang Baili angry, just after he asked Yuan Shikai for funds and was rejected, he did something that made all the teachers and students of the school extremely moved.
At 5:00 a.m. on June 18, 1913, principal Jiang Baili, dressed in a straight military uniform, first gave a lecture to the teachers and students, and then expressed his shame for the school and the teachers and students, so Jiang Baili pulled out a gun and aimed it at himself in the chest and fired a shot.
You can imagine how desperate Jiang Baili's heart was at that time, which was a kind of heartache in the Chinese military circles, but fortunately Jiang Baili miraculously survived after performing first aid.
