On December 15, WEILAI's entire line passed through the G50 Shanghai-Chongqing high-speed power exchange network. A total of 17 WEILAI substations are set up on the whole line, passing through 5 provinces and cities of Shanghai, Jiangsu, Anhui, Hubei and Chongqing, which can meet the power supply needs of users on the way to self-driving.
The G50 Shanghai-Chongqing high-speed power exchange network is the fourth high-speed power exchange network that runs through the whole line after G1 Beijing-Harbin, G2 Beijing-Shanghai, G4 Beijing-Hong Kong and Macao. G50 Shanghai-Chongqing high-speed power exchange network has a total length of 1786 kilometers, 9 of the 17 substations along the line are located in the high-speed kilometer service area, the remaining 8 are located near the high-speed port, and the farthest distance to the high-speed port is not more than 3.4 kilometers, which is convenient for users to quickly change power.
Up to now, WEILAI has built a total of 719 substations (including 164 expressway substations), 540 supercharging stations, 604 destination charging stations, and more than 430,000 third-party charging piles in the country. Weilai will complete the construction of a high-speed power exchange network of "five vertical, three horizontal and four major metropolitan areas" before the Spring Festival in 2022, including 8 expressways such as G5 Beijing-Kunming, G15 Shenhai, G30 Lianhuo, G50 Shanghai-Chongqing, and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Metropolitan Circle, the Yangtze River Delta Metropolitan Circle, the Greater Bay Area Metropolitan Circle, and the Chengdu-Chongqing Metropolitan Circle. NIO will gradually build a power exchange network covering more highway scenarios, providing users with a more convenient and comfortable intercity travel experience.
