Beijing News Express (reporter Wu Tingting) on December 15, the reporter learned from the "two sessions" in Chaoyang District that Chaoyang District will build a city of museums, a city of reading, a city of art, a city of double Olympics, and a city of fashion with high quality and high standards, and strive to create no less than 100 grass-roots characteristic public cultural spaces by 2025. With the construction of the canal cultural belt to connect the characteristic cultural resources, the construction of Tonghui River, Bahe River (Liangma River), Xiao Taihou River, Wenyu River cultural boutique corridors.

Build a number of "small, special and fine" cultural spaces

Wang Yonggang, member of the Party Committee and deputy director of the Chaoyang District Culture and Tourism Bureau, introduced that Chaoyang District will continue to improve the level of public cultural services, promote the integration of urban and rural public cultural facilities, and build a number of "small, special and refined" characteristic cultural spaces such as urban bookstores, mobile art galleries, and non-genetic institutes, so as to realize the coverage of cultural facilities around them. Strive to create no less than 100 public cultural spaces with grass-roots characteristics by 2025, and the compliance rate of street and township cultural centers will increase to 95%.

In 2022, Chaoyang District will carry out the second batch of cultural industry integration development demonstration parks and characteristic cultural tourism consumption blocks, and will invest about 5 million yuan of high-quality cultural tourism development support funds and 1.5 million yuan of cultural tourism consumption vouchers in Chaoyang District to support the development of cultural tourism enterprises and subsidies for cultural tourism consumption, and make every effort to create a national cultural and tourism consumption demonstration city.

Construction of four cultural boutique corridors such as the Tonghui River

Chaoyang District is an important node of the canal cultural belt, and the tributaries of the Tonghui River, Liangma River, Bahe River, Xiao Taihou River and other grand canals pass through the district. In 2021, Chaoyang District will comprehensively promote the implementation of key projects for the protection and utilization of canal cultural heritage.

The Shenmu Corridor Room, the "Ballad of Shenmu" monument and the Imperial Monument Pavilion project of the Shenmu Factory Historical Landscape Protection Project were successfully completed, the Shenmu Museum went through the activation procedures, and the important exhibits were tested and built.

According to reports, the Shenmu Corridor, the Imperial Monument Pavilion and the Shenmu Museum under construction will form an overall historical landscape of Shenmu, become a hall and window for protecting, inheriting and displaying Shenmu culture, and become a shared space for the integration of viewing and immersive experience. Promote the protection project of the shenmu factory site, form an overall landscape of the historical style of the Grand Canal, and display the culture of Shenmu and the culture of water transportation of the Grand Canal.

Chaoyang District uses scientific and technological means to carry out the digital protection project of the Chaoyang section of the Grand Canal Cultural Belt. Comprehensively display the cultural relics along the coast, comprehensively record the data on the protection of cultural relics and styles of Yongtong Bridge, further tell the story behind the 44 historical relics between the Datong Gate and the Yongtong Bridge, and present 25 important landmarks and parks such as "Jingtong Stone Road" and "Long Bridge Reflecting the Moon".

The remains of the canal cultural belt are scattered in many streets and townships along the river. Chaoyang District promoted the research of historical context, completed the research projects of historical and folklore contexts such as Tonghui River, Sunhe Ancient Town, Bahe River, Dongba Ancient Town, Chaoyangmen Stone Road, Xiaotaihou River, Beixiaohe, etc., and completed the research of 4 topics such as "Research on the Conservation and Utilization of Historical and Folklore Resources in the Liangma River Basin". At the same time, we will promote the research on the historical context of all streets and townships in the whole district, form 40 research reports, and join hands with the expert team of Peking University and the Academy of Social Sciences to sort out the results of the previous "13th Five-Year Plan" historical context research project.

In the next step, Chaoyang District will strengthen the protection and utilization of the Grand Canal Cultural Belt, and build cultural boutique corridors of Tonghui River, Dam River (Liangma River), Xiao Taihou River and Wenyu River. Wang Yonggang said that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Chaoyang District will comprehensively carry out the construction of the Grand Canal Cultural Belt, launch 50 cultural heritage protection demonstration projects, and establish 10 traditional cultural brands. At the same time, we will seize the opportunity of the construction of the Beijing Free Trade Zone and the 2022 Winter Olympics to form 100 traditional culture inheritance activities and build a traditional culture exchange platform.
