This is a letter written to his wife in the last moments of his life by a husband named Peng Pan, who was hailed by Mao Zedong as the "king of the Chinese peasant movement." On August 24, 1929, Peng Pan was arrested for betrayal by traitors, heroic and indomitable, and on the 30th, he was heroic and righteous at the same time as Yang Yin, Yan Changyi, and Xing Shizhen in Longhua, at the age of 33.
Xu Bing is Peng Pan's lover and his comrade-in-arms. After her husband's death, she gave up the opportunity to go to Moscow, put a pair of her own children in the home of her comrades-in-arms, and returned from Shanghai to Guangdong to continue the battle. In February 1932, Xu Bing's unit was surrounded by the enemy, and she was arrested during the breakout, but regardless of the enemy's inducement or torture, Xu Bing remained unyielding and was sent to Shantou to be killed...
