Recently, the Liaocheng City Market Supervision and Administration Bureau of Shandong Province issued a food safety supervision and sampling information notice (No. 21, 2021).
According to the notice, the Liaocheng City Market Supervision Bureau conducted supervision and sampling inspection of 584 batches of samples of 27 major categories of food, of which 1 batch of samples of liquor was found to be unqualified, and the quality indicators and label values were not consistent.
For the unqualified products found in the sampling inspection, the Liaocheng City Market Supervision and Administration Bureau has ordered the market supervision department where the production and operation enterprise is located to find out the product flow, recall and remove the unqualified products, control the risk, file a case for investigation, and analyze the reasons for rectification, and the unqualified products involved have been verified and disposed of as required.
On November 30, the website of the Heilongjiang Provincial Market Supervision and Administration Bureau released the information of the 78th food sampling inspection in 2021, showing that recently, the bureau organized and completed 392 batches of food safety supervision and sampling tasks, involving 5 types of food such as alcohol, condiments, and edible agricultural products. Among them, 26 batches of liquor products were sampled, 1 batch was unqualified, and 25 batches were qualified.
Recently, the Guiyang Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau released the 20th municipal food safety supervision and sampling inspection announcement in 2021. The announcement said that recently, the bureau organized food safety supervision and sampling inspection, of which 2 batches of wine samples were unqualified. Substandard alcohol involves cyclamate (in terms of cyclohexylsulfamic acid).
On November 29, 2021, the Changchun Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau of Jilin Province released the "Announcement on Food Safety Supervision and Sampling Information (Issue 50 of 2021)" on its website.
According to the information, recently, the Changchun Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau organized sampling of 3845 batches of samples of 18 types of food, of which 1 batch of unqualified samples of wine.
On November 26, the website of the Anhui Provincial Market Supervision and Administration Bureau published a food safety sampling information notice (Issue 48 of 2021).
The notice said that recently, the bureau organized sampling of alcohol samples. According to the national food safety standards, product explicit standards and quality requirements inspection and judgment, of which the sampling inspection items are unqualified for 2 batches of wine samples.

Recently, the Market Supervision and Administration Bureau of Jingzhou City, Hubei Province, issued a food safety supervision and sampling information announcement (No. 8, 2021). According to the announcement, the Jingzhou Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau organized spot checks from June 2 to November 10, 2021. Sampling inspection items are not qualified for 1 batch of alcohol.

In this period, the High-tech Industrial Park Branch of Dazhou Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau carried out food safety supervision and sampling inspection, and detected 3 batches of unqualified alcohol.
For the unqualified food found in the above sampling inspection, the Provincial Market Supervision Bureau has instructed the market supervision department of the jurisdiction to immediately organize the verification and disposal work, timely find out the flow of products, take risk control measures such as removal from shelves and recall, investigate and deal with violations of laws and regulations according to law, and disclose the risk prevention and control measures and verification and disposal taken to the public.
The alcohol content in liquor is not qualified:

Cyclamate exceeds the standard:
Cyclamate is an artificial synthetic sweetener, its chemical name is "sodium cyclohexylsulfamate", according to the "National Standard for Food Safety Food Additive Use Standards" (GB 2760-2014) stipulates that cyclamate can be used in beverages, pastries, compound seasonings, prepared wine and other foods, but is not allowed to be used in liquor.
The use of cyclamate in liquor is an over-range addition and an illegal act. The reason why cyclamate cannot be used in liquor is because there is no process necessity, and the sweetness of high-quality liquor itself does not need to rely on additives such as cyclamate.
Liquor companies add sweeteners such as cyclamate to liquor, which may be to reduce costs and increase the taste of products.
