China Economic Weekly-Economic Network News On April 17, according to the "Announcement on food safety supervision and sampling information in 2020" issued by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Market Supervision, Xinyuan Zhai osmanthus acid plum soup was detected to exceed the cyclamate standard.
According to the announcement, the osmanthus sour plum soup beverage produced by the nominal Xinyuanzhai (Tianjin) Beverage Co., Ltd. and operated by Beijing Ya'er Li Ji Nancheng Catering Co., Ltd. did not meet the national food safety standards by the Inspection and Quarantine Technology Center of the Beijing Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau. Xinyuanzhai (Tianjin) Beverage Co., Ltd. objected to the test results and applied for re-inspection; after re-inspection by the National Meat Food Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, the preliminary inspection conclusion was maintained.
It is reported that cyclamate is a commonly used sweetener, and its sweetness is 30 to 40 times that of sucrose. The National Standard for Food Safety The Standard for the Use of Food Additives (gb 2760-2014) specifies that the maximum use of cyclamate in beverages is 0.65 g/kg. Frequent consumption of cyclamate content of drinks or other foods, due to excessive intake of the human liver and nervous system will cause harm, especially for the elderly, pregnant women, children with weak metabolic detoxification ability.
According to Tianyan, Xinyuanzhai (Tianjin) Beverage Co., Ltd. was established in October 2016 with a registered capital of 50 million yuan and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Beijing Xinyuanzhai Beverage Co., Ltd.
Xinyuanzhai is a famous long-established brand in Beijing. On April 21, the relevant person in charge of Xinyuanzhai (Tianjin) Beverage Co., Ltd. said that the batch of products in question was not produced by Xinyuanzhai and had not received the penalty documents issued by the government at present, and Xinyuanzhai did not have any cooperative relationship with Beijing Ya'er Liji Nancheng Catering Co., Ltd., suspected to be counterfeit products.
For the reasons for the previous objection and now calling the problem batch of products counterfeit, the relevant person in charge of Xinyuanzhai replied that the specific situation is not clear, and everything will be handled by the company's legal affairs.
