Zhu Shenghao was born in 1912 in a dilapidated Shangjia family. His mother died of illness when he was 10 years old, and his father died of illness when he was 12 years old, and he has lived in the house of his aunt in his early widow.
In the fourth year of college, he met Song Qingru, a first-year student, in the "Zhijiang Poetry Society". After three days of acquaintance, Zhu Shenghao wrote to her with three new poems and asked Song Qingru to correct them. From 1933 to 1942, when the two married, to Zhu Shenghao's death in 1944, he wrote a total of 540 letters to his beloved wife in his short life, and it was these love letters that witnessed the legendary and tragic love, and it was this great love and suffering Song Qingru who achieved a generation of translators.
From 1935 onwards, Zhu Shenghao began to translate Shakespeare's series of plays, firstly to give the translated works to Song Qingru as a gift, and secondly, to fight for the fame of the clan. At that time, there was no Chinese version of Shakespeare translation in China, which was ridiculed by the Japanese as cultural backwardness, and Zhu Sheng was angry and regarded the translation of Shakespeare's plays as a "cause of national heroes".
Because of the turmoil of current events, Zhu Shenghao's translation was destroyed twice in the war and had to start from scratch, but he did not give up. When Zhu Shenghao died of illness in December 1944, he completed 31 translations of 37 shakespeares, as well as unfinished translations of Henry V.
