Zhu Shenghao joked with him: Well, I will give you three oceans a month and hire you as a secretary and housekeeping. Song Qingru's independence of course did not do it, so he went to The Ningde Girls' Middle School in Huzhou with a monthly salary of fifty. The twenty-five-year-old poet also officially stepped into society from campus.
In 1935, Zhu Shenghao began translating Shakespeare's plays and said that he would give this translated work to Song Qingru. Song Qingru has been a teacher all his life, and he is also full of peach and plum all over the world. In his spare time, he will proofread Zhu Shenghao's translations or make some changes. It was a good day, but unfortunately the Japanese called. Many of Zhu Shenghao's collection of sand opera books were destroyed in the war, and he only brought a set of Oxford editions and several translations.
After fleeing for a while, he returned to Shanghai to work again, and Song Qingru went to Chongqing, Chengdu and other places, and the two people still had great letters on each other, and they talked about love for ten years, and nine years were in this process of writing letters. Thousands of seals have been saved. It is a great pity that all of Song Qingru's letters to Zhu Shenghao were lost in the war, and Zhu Shenghao's letters to Song Qingru were only preserved before August 1937.
One of the things Chu focused on doing was translating shakespeare's complete works, and later went to Hong Kong. When the Pearl Harbor incident broke out, the Japanese rushed into the newspaper house, Zhu Shenghao escaped, and all the translations were lost in Shanghai and lost in Hong Kong again. The Japanese invasion we modern people feel understated, and at that time it really caused too much pain and disaster to the Chinese.
In 1942, the lovers who had been in love for ten years finally became dependents. Old friend Xia Chengtao sent a wedding joint. "Talented lady, chaimi couple". This sullen man was also really good, and it took him half a year to translate nine shakespeare comedies. Later, he took his wife back to his hometown in Jiaxing, when life was even more bitter, Song not only took care of the housework, but also had to do needlework to supplement the family, and the two husbands sang with the wife and the piano.
During the Spring Festival in 1943, Song Qingru returned to his mother's house for the New Year and walked for more than twenty days, and Zhu Shenghao went to the door every day to wait for his wife to return. It was raining in the south at that time, and the fall was colorful. He picked up the petals and wrote, "I spent the night listening to the sound of the rain, and if the two of us dreamed together on a rainy night, how different would the realm be." Or insomnia together in a rainy night, that is how delicious. But it was as if the rain could never fall, and the night seemed to never end, and drop by drop fell on my soul. When Song returned, she was very distressed to see her husband's pile of petals and the poems that lingered so much to the soul.
Zhu Shenghao's health was not good, and coupled with overloaded work, he finally fell ill. Well. In November 1944, Zhu Shenghao, who was seriously ill, suddenly recited the original text of Shawong's play aloud in his coma. After waking up, he said to his wife: "It's a pity, Savon's masterpiece is still five and a half times untranslated, and I already knew that I was so sick, so I desperately wanted to finish it." At noon on December 26, Zhu Shenghao suddenly shouted: Xiao Qingqing, I am going. When Song Qingru rushed over, he found that the thirty-two-year-old Zhu Shenghao had left him.
In 1948, Song Qingru single-handedly proofread all the 1.8 million words of the manuscript, wrote down the translator's profile, and handed it to the World Book Company for publication. In 1954, Zhu Shenghao's translated Shakespeare plays were re-released, and the publishing house sent 20,000 manuscript fees according to the regulations. Song Qingru donated a large part to the Jiaxing Library and so on, and the rest all bought public bonds, saying that they wanted to support national construction.
In 1991, the eighty-year-old Song Qingru was invited to star in the TV series Zhu Shenghao, which touched the audience with her true feelings and simple appeal, and won the honorary award of the 12th Feitian Awards. On June 27, 1997, Song Qingru died suddenly of a heart attack, and before she died, she donated all the manuscripts of Zhu Shenghao, who had accompanied her for more than 40 years, to the state. After his death, he was buried with Zhu Shenghao, and the tombstone was engraved, "If the two of us dream together in the sound of rain, how different the realms are, or how insomnia in the rain together, how delicious it is."
