In order to standardize the order of beef jerky market and consolidate the phased results of the special action on beef jerky and other meat products at the beginning of this year, the Zhunger Banner Market Supervision and Administration Bureau recently carried out a special inspection of beef jerky and other meat products.
The inspection focused on large and medium-sized supermarkets, dairy food stores, national specialty food stores, beef jerky and other meat product sellers in tourist attractions, and focused on the following three aspects of inspection: First, check whether the operators are honest and trustworthy in their operations. Beef jerky operators are required to post a letter of commitment for the standardized operation of beef jerky, a code of conduct for the standardized operation of beef jerky, and display beef jerky and other jerky zones in a conspicuous position on the business premises, and mark "beef jerky area" and "non-beef jerky area" in the sales area, so as not to mislead consumers; In view of the widespread problem of non-standard labeling of bulk jerky found in the previous inspection process, our bureau uniformly printed a batch of bulk food labels and distributed them to the operators, requiring beef jerky operators to post bulk food labels on the bulk jerky containers and outer packaging; Strictly crack down on illegal packaging of beef jerky, the sale of pork jerky and other meat products as beef jerky, and resolutely put an end to adulteration, fake as real, shoddy and other violations of laws and regulations.
Up to now, a total of 16 beef jerky and other meat product operators have been inspected, and it has been found that some operators have not posted the beef jerky standard business code as required, and the main responsibility for food safety has not been implemented in place, and has been ordered to rectify within a time limit. In the next step, the law enforcement officers of our bureau will review the rectification situation and continue to strengthen the quality and safety supervision of beef jerky sales.
