On May 16, the 7th CIIE Food and Agricultural Products Exhibition Area Dairy Products and Agricultural Products Supply and Demand Docking Activity was held at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai), sponsored by the China International Import Expo Bureau, the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., and the Trade Negotiation Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand, and co-organized by the Dairy Industry Committee, the Agricultural Products Special Committee of the CIIE Exhibitor Alliance, and the Bank of China Shanghai Branch.
At the meeting, more than 20 dairy products and agricultural products exhibitors from well-known enterprises such as Fonterra, Theland, Holland, Muyi, Lesaffre, Dole, and Château de France have connected with Bailian Group, Bright Food, Lianhua Supermarket, Auchan, Yonghui Supermarket, Metro and other food circulation and production and processing enterprises, e-commerce, and supermarket buyers.
Zhuang Nijia, deputy director of the Trade Negotiation Department of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand, led 12 Thai dairy and agricultural products enterprises to participate in the meeting. She said that China is Thailand's largest trading partner and the second largest market for Thai dairy products after ASEAN, and the CIIE provides an opportunity for Thai dairy producers to meet and negotiate with Chinese importers, dairy producers, trade representatives and agricultural producers. The Thai side hopes to use this supply and demand matching event to understand the market trends of Chinese dairy products and the preferences of Chinese consumers, and expects more Thai dairy companies to enter the Chinese market through the CIIE in the future.
Yang Hong, President of Lesaffre Group Greater China, as a representative of the Agricultural Products Committee of the CIIE, shared the harvest of enterprises participating in the Expo. He said that the CIIE is a platform full of possibilities, and Lesaffre has been actively participating in it, exploring the potential and strengthening partnerships in the Chinese market. At the 7th CIIE this year, Lesaffre will continue to launch a series of new products and new ideas to help Chinese consumers pursue a better life.
