On the afternoon of April 28, Gao Yun, secretary of the district party committee, successively went to Tamsui Road, Longhua East Road and other places to inspect the safety of residential communities and the construction of a series of venues for Olympic qualification, and to inspect the safety work in the urban area before May Day. In some residential areas of Tamsui Road, Gao Yun focused on inspecting the potential safety hazards such as fire escape settings and electric bicycle charging, and listened to relevant work reports. Gao Yun pointed out that for the existing potential safety hazards, it is necessary to implement reforms, and relevant streets and functional departments should strengthen supervision and guidance, implement the main responsibility, and build a tight and seamless closed loop of residential community safety. Gao Yun emphasized that the safety of electric bicycles is a matter of thousands of households, and all streets, residential areas and relevant functional departments should actively carry out the investigation in accordance with the unified deployment requirements of the city's electric bicycle safety management and lifting action, further scientifically and rationally layout parking places and charging facilities, provide data support, effectively eliminate potential safety hazards of electric bicycles, and effectively prevent fire accidents.
The Olympic Qualification Series is a new festival series established by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) that combines sporting events with urban culture, including four sports and six sub-disciplines: BMX freestyle, breakdancing, skateboarding and rock climbing. The Shanghai leg of the competition will be held from May 16 to 19 this year at the Huangpu Binjiang Puxi Expo Park. Gao Yun inspected the construction of the stadium on the spot, and presided over a symposium to listen to the work report, and the relevant district leaders and department heads exchanged and discussed. Gao Yun emphasized that the Olympic Qualification Series involves a wide range of events, has great influence, and has high standards and requirements. Relevant departments and units shall, in accordance with the requirements of the work, quickly set up an on-site command center, implement various tasks such as venue construction, safety and stability maintenance, logistics services, traffic management, atmosphere creation, environmental remediation, and the holding of urban sports festivals, deepen territorial guarantees, and make every effort to ensure the safe, smooth and wonderful holding of the event.
Gao Yun stressed that the May Day holiday is approaching, Huangpu's main scenic spots and major business, tourism, cultural and sports venues will usher in a large passenger flow test, relevant departments and units should always tighten the safety chord with a sense of responsibility and urgency of "always rest assured", plan and deploy security and stability maintenance work in advance, and make every effort to ensure stable public security, safe passenger flow and smooth traffic.
