After investigation, from 2023, in order to increase sales, Yu and others have privately modified the 48V batteries of multiple brands of electric bicycles into high-power 60V batteries, and then sold them to the outside world, involving more than 250,000 yuan.
The police tip that modifying an electric bicycle without permission may lead to serious safety hazards. The motor, controller and other components of the electric bicycle are designed and matched according to the voltage and current characteristics of the 48V battery, and if you blindly replace it with a 60V battery, it may cause the voltage to be too high, which will cause dangerous situations such as motor burning and spontaneous combustion. In addition, the modification of the battery may also damage the electrical system and stability of the original car, further increasing the risk of accidents. Please do not believe in the so-called modification and acceleration of installation services when buying electric bicycles.
