Case 1
At about 10:13 on February 25, 2024, a fire broke out in an electric carport on the north side of a small area in Fengtai District, Beijing. After verification, the scene was an electric bicycle fire in an outdoor independent electric car shed, with a fire area of 10 square meters, a total of 25 electric vehicles were damaged, and no casualties were caused.
Case 2
At about 4:39 on February 23, 2024, a fire broke out in a small area in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, killing 15 people and injuring 44 others. After preliminary analysis, the fire was caused by a fire where electric bicycles were parked on the overhead floor of the ground of six buildings.
Case 3
On December 13, 2023, a fire broke out in a high-rise community in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, and the fire started in Room 8 on the 12th floor. After investigation, the cause of the fire was caused by the uncontrolled heating of the battery during the charging process of the electric bicycle pushed into the room, which ignited the surrounding combustibles, and the accident killed two minors.
