After a while, a vivid cartoon image of the recruit appeared on the computer screen.
"Recruit Xiao Tie" is the protagonist of the "Report, Squad Leader" micro-anime created by the comic studio. "In the education class after the recruits leave the company, the 'Recruit Xiaotie' series of comics received a good response...... "The instructor of a company gave feedback to Lai Taiwei, hoping that they would create more excellent works.
This series of comics for new recruits was well received by everyone as soon as it was launched. The recruits said that through the "recruit Xiao Tie", they could not only learn a lot of common knowledge of the troops, but also saw their own shadow in "him", which stimulated the motivation to forge ahead.
This reporter learned that in the six years since its establishment, this cartoon studio has successively launched more than 3,000 cartoon works in a series such as "Casting the Soul of the Flag," "Strengthening the Army with Me," and "Preventing Microscopic Problems," and nearly 400 of them have been published in various newspapers and periodicals at all levels, which have become an important part of the brigade's characteristic barracks culture.
Stroll through the brigade, row house corridors, canteen halls...... Military-themed cartoons can be seen everywhere, and even the mouse pads in some office spaces have designed a series of confidential cartoons to remind officers and soldiers to build a strong security line at all times.
"The comic studio not only enlivens and enriches the culture of the barracks, but also becomes a stage for soldiers to grow and become talents." The leader of the brigade told reporters that all eight members of the studio were rated as outstanding individuals with "four haves," and one soldier was promoted ahead of schedule.
"Joining the studio has added a different touch to my military career." The soldier who was promoted ahead of schedule was none other than Chen Weiqiang, and next to his self-portrait, there was a sentence written on it.
After graduating from university and enlisting in the army, Chen Weiqiang was assigned to the communication support major, and faced the operation panel every day, which made him feel bored and depressed.
Once, Chen Weiqiang was sitting quietly in the corridor to organize his thoughts, and when he raised his eyes, several cartoons on the wall attracted his attention. In the comics, the experience of a recruit who goes through a confused experience to find his direction and then regain his strength resonates with him.
After inquiring about it, Chen Weiqiang took the initiative to apply to join the comic studio and became one of them.
In order to create works that are close to the life of the grassroots, he studied and trained more actively, and gradually understood the connotation of "ordinary" and the meaning of "perseverance". The first set of cartoons he created, with the theme of "Rooted in the post, is also a kind of greatness", depicted the ordinary day of a signal soldier, and was praised by the fighters around him.
"The fiery grassroots is a fertile ground for educational innovation." Talking about the original intention of the establishment of the comic studio, the brigade leader recalled that a few years ago, an instructor found that a certain company had held a special art exhibition when he pushed the door to attend a class. The display boards were densely plastered with hand-drawn cartoons about the party's innovative theories, "alcohol prohibition" and other key points of legal knowledge. These cartoons were all written by two soldiers of the company. Looking at the scene of the active participation of the soldiers, the instructor realized that comics are also a vivid carrier to promote the innovation of grassroots education and create a characteristic military camp culture.
Later, with the strong support of the brigade party committee, the comic studio of "Jitong Pioneers" was officially established.
"Caricatures are not decorative paintings, and we must strive to unify indoctrination and inspiration to gain the inner approval of officers and men." A cadre of the brigade's propaganda department said that in recent years, the comic studio has successively created more than 30 sets of comics, such as "being a good soldier in the new era." Today, the comic studio is a gathering place for the comic creators of the brigade. "Presenting the important content of laws and regulations in the form of cartoons is much easier to remember than stiff words!" Several fighters browsed and had a lively discussion.
A leader of the brigade's political work department told this reporter that these cartoons were all created by members of the brigade's maker studio, who transformed the key points such as laws and regulations into vivid and vivid pictures, so that officers and men would love to read and learn and understand them at a glance.
Previously, when a certain battalion organized the study of regulations, the brigade inspection team found that some officers and men were not enthusiastic about studying. At the end of the study, the overall excellent rate of officers and men was relatively low, and what was surprising was that two recruits actually received full marks.
