On April 13, 2024, the 4th China International Consumer Goods Expo was grandly opened at the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center.
As one of the highlights of the expo, the public welfare exhibition "Jade Road" jointly sponsored by Shenyu Art Museum, CDF Haikou International Duty Free City and Shenyu Island Cultural Tourism Holding Co., Ltd. was opened in CDF Haikou International Duty Free City, attracting the attention of many audiences, Zhou Lingjun, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of China Tourism Group Hainan Regional Headquarters, and Deputy General Manager of CTS Duty Free, and Zhao Chen, President of Shenyu Island Cultural Tourism Holding Co., Ltd. and Secretary-General of Shenyu Shenzhou Project, attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition. This exhibition exhibited 23 pieces of jade treasures in the collection of the Shenyu Art Museum, with national history as the core and jade treasures as the carrier, showing the charm of traditional Chinese aesthetics and highlighting the profundity of Chinese culture.
"Jade is the relics of the earth, the spiritual wealth given to mankind by the universe, and the treasure of all mankind. With the theme of "Jade Dao - A History of the Development of Jade Culture is the History of the Development of the Chinese Nation", the exhibition is divided into five parts: "The Formation of Jade", "The History of Jade", "The Beauty of Jade", "The Virtue of Jade" and "The Combination of Jade". In the exhibition, the audience can appreciate the early jade development of utensils such as jade Yue, jade dragon, jade wall, jade cong, etc., rare jade jade interstitial screen, gold color jade, jade shanzi, etc., as well as the original cultural work of Shenyu Art Museum "Shenyu Three Character Sutra", the works presented in the exhibition not only have high appreciation value, but also the crystallization of Chinese cultural context, aesthetic philosophy and ingenuity.
The relevant person in charge of the Shenyu Art Museum said that the beautiful words expressed by Chinese are almost inseparable from jade. Jade is the best medium to appreciate the profound connotation of Chinese traditional culture, carry forward the traditional Chinese wisdom, and witness the supreme realm of the treasures of Chinese civilization. Shenyu Art Museum hopes to let more people feel the unique charm of jade culture in the form of public welfare exhibitions, explore the historical context of Chinese culture from the perspective of jade culture development through jade treasures with national temperature, and tell Chinese stories from the perspective of jade culture and art, so as to promote Chinese culture to the world more vividly, comprehensively and powerfully.
