From January 22, our province will enter the 2024 "Two Sessions" time, female deputies and CPPCC members are a beautiful landscape, they will closely focus on the major issues of Hainan's economic and social development, with a delicate and unique perspective to build the truth, seek good strategies, make practical moves, send out the "good voice" of women participating in politics, and contribute women's wisdom to the new chapter of the modernization of Hainan Free Trade Port.

"The top-level design of mental health courses in primary and secondary schools in mainland China is gradually improving, but there are still some problems in terms of education and teaching practice. At the second meeting of the Eighth Hainan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Su Ping, member of the Hainan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, director of the Instrumental Music Department of the School of International Communication and Arts of Hainan University, and vice chairman of the Hainan Provincial Committee of the Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League, focused on strengthening mental health education in primary and secondary schools in Hainan Province.

Previously, Su Ping found that a considerable number of mental health teachers in primary and secondary schools in Hainan are currently served by administrators or ideological and political teachers. "Many of them have not received special psychology education and training, or they are only in a hurry after short-term training, and the professional skills of mental health education are weak, and they can often only carry out some simple psychological teaching work, and it is difficult to truly understand the psychological state of students. Su Ping said that some schools do not have full-time psychology teachers, and although some schools have full-time psychology teachers, they are obviously insufficient.

"With the introduction of talent services in Hainan to build a free trade port, the number of primary and secondary schools in various cities and counties has gradually increased, and students are also facing a complex and diverse psychological situation, and schools should optimize mental health education methods as soon as possible. She said.

Su Ping suggested that each school should be equipped with 1 to 2 full-time mental health teachers, or hire a team of mental health professionals to teach in the school, so as to solve the current dilemma of insufficient professionalism and serious shortage of mental health teachers in primary and secondary schools. The education department should strengthen supervision and management to ensure that mental health education courses should be offered in each grade, and that at least one mental health class per week should be offered in the same way as physical education, music, art and other minor subjects, so as to meet students' needs for mental health education courses.

Su Ping also suggested that support and encourage the establishment of mental health education studios to achieve the overall improvement of the level of regional mental health education, and then promote the mental health teachers of primary and secondary schools to actively explore the psychological problems of adolescents, and help teenagers grow up healthily in a timely manner, so that education is not only to impart knowledge and skills, but also to shape a sound personality with good psychological quality, and consolidate the cornerstone of a happy life for teenagers.
