Wan Kehuan, a member of the 11th CPPCC of Huadu District, is currently the secretary of the Party branch and executive director of Guangzhou Shengquan Hospital. At the same time, by participating in the "No. 10 Studio" activity, Wan Kehuan saw that with the faster and faster pace of modern life, everyone's demand for mental health is growing, but the awareness and knowledge of mental health are relatively lacking, and there is a phenomenon of "avoiding medical treatment and avoiding medical treatment, and scientific treatment is less", so he actively went deep into the grassroots and conducted research in many ways, and in December 2023, under the guidance of the two new working committees of Huadu District, and with the strong support of the Huadu District Health Bureau and the Party Committee of the private medical industry in Huadu District, the "No. 10 Studio · "Medical heart for the people, spring heart wholeheartedly" health public welfare activities party building brand. Since the establishment of the brand, he has led the team to carry out 28 mental health science lectures on different themes in Xiuquan Street and Xinhua Street, delivered mental health science to more than 6,000 people, and actively assisted the town to build two community psychological counseling rooms, and has now laid out 19 psychological service points to carry out psychological screening, intervention, counseling and other services. In the future, it will be deployed in the whole area of Huadu to provide psychological counseling services for more people and effectively improve the sense of gain and happiness of the community.
According to the 2023 China Mental Health Blue Book, the detection rate of depression among primary and secondary school students in mainland China is as high as 40%, and the student group is facing multiple pressures such as academics and employment, and mental health problems are becoming increasingly prominent, and there is a trend of young age. As a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Wan Kehuan actively organized a team of experts to study and summarize experience, and submitted a proposal of "Sunshine Flowers 6+1". The proposal was led by the District Youth League Committee, and focused on the root cause of the problem, opened up ways to solve the problem, and built a solid line of defense for adolescent mental health through six sections: stress reduction workshop, whole-life education, concentration improvement, sexual psychological counseling, being a smart parent, and interpersonal communication, as well as a green referral channel and crisis intervention mechanism.
Based on public welfare, we will deepen the field of mental health
Since the establishment of the hospital, it has provided a total of more than 40 yuan worth of funds and materials for the epidemic, disasters, people in need, and co-construction units through donations, donations, blood donations, and assistance. During the epidemic, Guangzhou Shengquan Hospital admitted a total of 2,192 homeless and sudden mental illness patients, delivered medicines to the mentally ill patients in a timely manner, set up a number of psychological crisis volunteer service teams, and opened a 24-hour psychological intervention hotline in Huadu District, making positive contributions to the development and stability of Huadu.
Guangzhou Shengquan Hospital undertakes 280 community psychiatric consultations and 3,500 patients in Huadu District every year, nearly 100 emergency responses to mental illness emergencies in the region, and 270 long-acting injections, which is among the best in the city. The hospital undertakes 1,000 people to report serious mental illnesses every year, and provides more than 50 popular science, free clinics and lectures for the people in the jurisdiction every year, contributing to the escort of the mental health of the people in Huadu area.
