Vietnamese army's newly equipped American tank helmets appear again: on August 4, the Vietnam People's Army released a new photo of the newly equipped upgraded T-54B tank of the Vietnamese 409th Armored Brigade, which was upgraded with the help of Israel, the main gun was not replaced, and the old 100 mm rifled gun was still used, but the fire control was replaced by the TIFS-3BU steady line fire control of the Spanish Indra company, which had the ability to shoot in motion. Additional armor was added to the turret, and explosive reactive armor was added to the hull. It is worth noting that the tank helmet worn by the Vietnamese tank soldiers in the photo is no longer a Soviet-style tank helmet (Fig. 2), but an American DH-132 bulletproof tank helmet imported from Israel (Fig. 3). This American helmet is not a new model, but an older model that has been used since the Vietnam War, with a soft and hard detachable design (Fig. 6). When used in hot areas such as jungles and deserts, tank soldiers can remove the outer bulletproof layer to keep their heads cool. In times of intense combat, the bulletproof shell can be put on to prevent shrapnel and fragments from hurting the head. Our new tank helmet and the Russian army's newly equipped 6B48-2 tank helmet also adopt this design.
