At 19:30 on May 17th, Mario Alonso will hold a solo piano recital at the North Bund in Hongkou.
Musician Profile
Mario was born in Madrid, Spain, in 1983 and studied at the Royal Conservatory of Madrid, where he completed his undergraduate studies.
From 2008 to 2010, he studied for a master's degree at the Utrecht Academy of Arts in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
From 2011 to 2012, he studied at the "Master Class" of the International Piano Academy in Imola, Italy, under the tutelage of Riccardo Risaliti. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Bologna, Italy in 2012.
Since 2015, Mario has been invited to perform a series of concert tours in dozens of cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Chengdu, Wenzhou, Ningbo, Fuzhou, Kunming, Changsha, Taiyuan, Ningbo, Nanning, etc., and has performed more than 100 concerts so far.
Since 2017, Mario has been living in Shanghai since then, starting his life in China.
In 2024, Mario was invited by the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism to serve as the 2024 Shanghai International Tourism Ambassador.
