Li Hui, a native of Hunan, holds a bachelor's degree from Central South University and a master's degree from Peking University, and followed BYD Chairman Wang Chuanfu to Shenzhen in 2004 and has been working at BYD for more than 18 years.
At BYD, Li Hui has experienced multiple positions in many sectors, including administration, finance, production cost management, auto finance, sales, government projects, and rail transit, and has continued to grow with the company's rapid development.
Li Hui's sector is related to Shenzhen and has begun to work in the field of BYD's new energy vehicles for 8 years.
In 2003, BYD took the lead in laying out the new energy vehicle business. Li Hui has served as the financial manager, auto project manager, auto financial market director and assistant general manager of BYD Automotive, and has participated in and witnessed the start-up, start-up and rapid development of China's new energy vehicles.
"At the beginning, everyone felt that the price of new energy vehicles was more expensive, charging was inconvenient, and there were very few people using it." Li Hui recalled that the commercial vehicle sales team of the company cooperated with the company to find a breakthrough point in the Shenzhen bus electrification policy, and with the strong support of the Shenzhen Municipal Government, the first batch of new energy buses landed during the Shenzhen Universiade.
BYD innovated the launch of the new energy vehicle life cycle cost program, Li Hui and the company's commercial vehicle sales team together with the data to tell the bus company, the initial cost of the new energy bus will be more expensive, but from the perspective of the whole life cycle is much cheaper. For example, if the new energy bus is used for 8 years, the electricity cost saved in the first 3 years is enough to cover the high cost of car purchase, and the next 5 years are practically pure profits. Moreover, the BYD team is also equipped with the "four zero plan" financial leasing model, "zero car purchase, zero cost, zero risk, zero emission", through such an innovative model, Shenzhen and even many cities in China to open up the new energy bus and new energy taxi market.
Shenzhen took the lead in realizing the full electrification of public transportation in the world in 2017, and successfully realized the full electrification of taxis in 2018, leading the world in the development of green public transport, and was awarded the "Global Green Transportation Representative Case" by the World Bank.
After that, Li Hui and her colleagues quickly set up BYD Auto Finance Company to promote the exclusive financial product solution for new energy vehicles. "In 45 days, I ran through 30 cities and carried out 60 auto business development meetings, and the high intensity of work caused my voice to become permanent hoarseness, but we have comprehensively accelerated the consumer new energy vehicle market, and the acceptance of new energy private cars has also been continuously improved." By March this year, the domestic retail penetration rate of new energy vehicles was about 30%, and new energy vehicles were transformed from policy-driven to market-driven, and the new energy vehicles that BYD adhered to ushered in a full-scale outbreak of the market.
Li Hui's second main business is rail transit. "New energy vehicles control pollution, cloud rail cloud ba blockage", which is also a major development direction of BYD proposed by the company's chairman Wang Chuanfu.
Now it seems that with the process of urbanization and motorization, each city has different degrees of congestion problems. In this context, the BYD team has entered the rail transit field since 2011, and through five years of research and development, launched rail transit solutions with medium and small transport volumes. In 2016, BYD launched cloud rail, and two years later launched yunba. As a branch line of a large city, Yunba and the subway trunk line form an organic complement to create a rail network of the city.
"Our main work in the past 4-5 years is to provide urban traffic congestion solutions for more cities, so that urban people can enjoy a faster, smoother, greener and smarter way of travel, and now BYD's multiple Yunba projects are steadily and orderly advancing, and I believe that Yunba will become the next new energy vehicle." Li Hui said.
18 years ago, after Li Hui landed in Shenzhen with a university graduation certificate, she settled in Pingshan, Shenzhen, the headquarters of BYD, and formed an indissoluble relationship with Shenzhen and witnessed the rapid development of Shenzhen.
"Shenzhen is particularly open and inclusive." Li Hui believes that in Shenzhen, everyone can say "I am a Shenzhen native". "Shenzhen people come" is not just a slogan, but the city's genes determine. People from all over the world come here to work hard, enjoy life, and communicate with each other in Mandarin, without the feeling of outsiders. "Shenzhen has a service-oriented government." Li Hui said that optimizing the business environment is to stimulate the vitality of market players, and government services are the key to a good business environment. The Shenzhen government has given a lot of support to enterprises, and the business environment is superior. What I summarize is "four to": "not called" in ordinary times; "on call" when there is difficulty; "attentive service" when serving - this is strongly felt by our company, including during the epidemic or other times; and finally" is "doing what is said", the government promises to believe what it says, and it will be fulfilled immediately.
"Shenzhen is full of dreams and passion." Li Hui said that Shenzhen has a fair market environment and a foundation of rule of law, talent gathering, rich resources, enterprises and individuals as long as they are competitive, they can find market opportunities, as long as they work hard, they can realize the value of individuals and enterprises.
"Shenzhen has a high environmental quality." Li Hui stressed that Shenzhen has been thriving in recent years and is becoming more and more livable and suitable for work.
