For a while, in order to help her get rid of loneliness, her mother taught her to whistle every day. It was the only thing that made her happy in those days.
But she was stubborn, tenacious. Heaven deprived her of her health, of her right to walk and run freely, but not of her positive heart.
Unable to go to school like other children, she asked her parents to buy books and learn them at home.
Lying on the bed and unable to move, she used the principle of mirror reflection to read the words on the book, and the difficulty can be imagined. When she encountered something she didn't understand, she read it over and over again, thought about it over and over again, and tried to ask others for advice.
In this way, with the perseverance unimaginable to others, she completed all the courses of primary and secondary schools by self-study. He also taught himself 4 foreign languages, including English, Japanese, and German, and translated 16 foreign books.
Her name is Haidi Zhang.
At the age of 15, Zhang Haidi, who was in a wheelchair, followed her parents to rural Shandong.
When she found that there was a shortage of music teachers in the school, she took the initiative to teach the children to sing, and also gave them haircuts and sewed clothes in their spare time.
Later, she found that due to poor sanitary conditions and lack of medical resources in the village, many people could not get timely and effective treatment after falling ill.
