| Little bookworm mom
A baby eats well and sleeps soundly is what every parent expects. However, the feeding process did not go as smoothly as we had hoped, and there were always some small episodes.
Take your girlfriend Tingting, for example, not long ago, she was promoted to a mother. After the baby was born, Tingting insisted on breastfeeding the baby. In the month, the baby's feeding is still relatively smooth, after the full moon, she found that the baby always eats and stops when feeding, eating less than 3 to 5 minutes, and then falling asleep. But the baby's sleep time is not long, less than 30 minutes to wake up again, bar smack mouth to feed.
It was so cyclical that I couldn't count how many times I had been fed in a day, and I was physically and mentally tired. Even if she is tired, she is worried that this feeding method will affect the growth and development of the baby.

Tingting encountered problems, I believe many mothers have also encountered. Most of these babies are within 3 months, always eating and stopping when feeding, eating less than three or five minutes, and then falling asleep. The sleep time is not long, almost half an hour to 1 hour and wake up again. Many mothers encounter such a situation and do not know how to deal with it.
As a nurseryman and a second-born mother, the little bookworm mother also encountered such a situation in the feeding process, according to my experience, analyzed some of the reasons and came up with a response method, the following to share with you.
Why does the baby eat and stop when feeding?
According to different feeding methods, there are 3 main reasons, parents can compare their actual situation, and then choose the corresponding method to deal with.
The first reason: Mom doesn't have enough milk
If the mother's milk is not enough, the baby spends a lot of effort to drink a little milk, sucking tired, but also sleepy, so the baby will eat, sleep, sleep and eat.
The second reason: the pacifier does not fit
Artificial feeding of the baby, because the rubber nipple is too hard or the nipple hole is too small, the baby sucks too hard, easy to fatigue, sucking for a while is tired, tired to sleep, sleep for a while, stomach hungry for a while, can only wake up and eat.
The third reason: the need for babies to suck
If the baby still has to feed every 1 hour or so after 3 months, this is often not a "hunger signal, but the baby has a relatively strong "sucking need" and needs to suck breast milk to relieve tension anxiety or other uneasy emotions.
How do you deal with these situations?
The mother's milk is insufficient, and when feeding, she can gently squeeze the R room with her hands to help milk secretion, and the baby does not have to exert too much effort when feeding. The R rooms on both sides take turns breastfeeding for 15-20 minutes each time. It is also possible to breastfeed first and then supplement with formula.
Based on my experience of feeding two babies, the ejaculatory reflex may be suppressed when the mother is physically or emotionally nervous, so when we feed the baby, we can listen to soothing music to relax our bodies and emotions, and put all our worries aside. In addition, you can also promote the secretion of milk by stroking, holding the baby, increasing the number of feedings, and increasing skin contact with the baby.
If the breast milk is sufficient, the baby still eats and sleeps, and the mother can gently pinch the baby's earlobe or gently flick the baby's foot when feeding, so as to wake up the baby to feed.
For artificially fed babies, it is necessary to determine whether the nipple hole is the right size and whether the hardness is suitable. To see if the nipple hole is moderate, you can do this, turn the bottle upside down, and the milk can drip out quickly, which indicates that the nipple hole is suitable.
In addition, when feeding, let the milk fill the nipple, not half of the milk and half of the air, so that it is easy for the baby to inhale air, causing hiccups, while causing sucking fatigue.
For babies with strong "sucking needs", mothers should try to meet the needs of the baby while enriching the baby's comfort methods and life content, such as singing to the baby, telling stories, taking the baby out for a walk, reading cards with the baby and so on.
After feeding through the above methods, we should carefully observe whether the baby is full? Whether breastfeeding or artificial feeding, the baby can sleep peacefully for 2-3 hours after feeding, weight gain is in line with the growth law, good mood, it means that feeding is normal.
