Hybrid systems, especially the DHT hybrid gearbox, are a very cutting-edge technology. All domestic brands will choose a breakthrough in technology.

Julang Hybrid, on the other hand, has a dual-hybrid technology route - digesting and absorbing Toyota's latest THS power shunt hybrid system, and the forward self-developed GMC dual-motor series parallel hybrid system.
It is equivalent to GAC Trumpchi taking the two technical route hybrid systems into the bag, and the two systems can be said to have their own strengths in technology. What kind of gameplay is this?
Why is it said that the Digestion and Absorption Toyota THS Hybrid System is said? Because Toyota uses its own 2.5L naturally aspirated engine, while GAC uses a 2.0TM turbo to match Toyota's latest THS power shunt hybrid system.
Toyota's THS technology is certainly unquestionable, and now it also uses a more powerful 2.0T engine, which is both fuel-efficient and powerful. Although the structure is different, the technical route of the GAC Trumpchi GMC 2.0 is similar to that of Honda's i-MMD and BYD DM-i, but they have an essential difference - the GMC 2.0 has an additional AT gear, which is equivalent to its engine direct drive mode with an additional 2AT gearbox.
An additional gear can make it easier for the internal combustion engine in the efficient work area to intervene in the drive, give full play to the efficiency advantages of the internal combustion engine when the road conditions are complex, and make the energy consumption of the whole vehicle lower. And the addition of 2AT makes the acceleration of the engine more efficient and more powerful.
However, the use of two-speed variable speed structure is not only GAC, the Great Wall Lemon DHT is also. Compared with the difference, the two gears of lemon DHT are direct gear shifts, while the GAC gear shift mechanism adopts the form of AT, and the shift action should be more supple.
With so many gears of GMC 2.0, what advantages will the driving experience have over the current hot Honda i-MMD and BYD DM-i? Emphasize that this is just technical theory.
BYD's DM-i system has obvious effects in urban conditions and urban expressways, but one drawback is that its 1.5L natural suction engine (Han DM-i switched to 1.5T) has limited power output - high-speed direct drive mode for a long time, after the battery is seriously dequeficient, the engine will remain running at a high speed. This leads to poor NVH and increased fuel consumption.
Therefore, GAC GMC 2.0, from the earlier first-generation GMC (used in GS4 PHEV) using a 1.5T three-cylinder turbocharged engine, switched to a more efficient 2.0L four-cylinder Atkinson naturally aspirated, plus the advantage of two-speed transmission. This makes the power better at high speed cruising, and it is more fuel-efficient without pulling high speeds.
But this is only theory, BYD has proved to be very successful, whether the technology is good or not depends on the final practical effect. In the future, if the GAC CMC 2.0 system can be efficient and reliable, it will certainly be as successful as Toyota.
