GAC Trumpchi's Julang Hybrid will have two hybrid technology routes: one route is the forward self-developed GMC series parallel dual-motor hybrid system, and the other route is the THS power shunt hybrid system cooperated with Toyota, which realizes the perfect combination of turbocharged engine and THS system. At present, the model equipped with the forward self-developed GMC series parallel dual-motor hybrid system is Yingku, which is also the first model of the hybrid system, and the THS hybrid system equipped with Toyota currently has a new second-generation Trumpchi GS8, and more models will be equipped with these two hybrid systems in the future.
The 2.0ATK engine used in GMC Hybrid System is the fourth generation of high-efficiency naturally aspirated engine independently developed by GAC, which adopts advanced technologies such as GAC GCCS combustion control system, Atkinson cycle, ultra-high compression ratio, 350 bar high-pressure direct injection system, and the highest thermal efficiency is 42.1%.
The core of Julang Hybrid, GMC2.0 electromechanical coupling system, is upgraded on the basis of the first generation of products, with better performance and stronger strength, and under the working conditions of WLTC, the thermal utilization rate of the hybrid system can be realized≥ 95.5%. Compared with the mainstream hybrid system on the market, GMC hybrid has one more gear, which improves torque output while allowing the engine to be in a more efficient working range after intervention in the drive.
In addition, GMC also has pure electricity, series (extended range) mode, and parallel (two-speed) mode, and the vehicle can intervene and optimize the working state of the existing power system in advance according to real-time road conditions, vehicle status and other information through the full-speed domain intelligent energy management strategy in the system, especially the above working mode and energy flow distribution state adjustment to optimize the performance, economy and safety of hybrid vehicles in actual driving.
In other words, GAC Trumpchi's julang hybrid system allows the engine and drive motor to drive the wheels together under high loads, and it is also equipped with a two-speed transmission, which can determine what kind of drive form is needed according to different road conditions.
